It appears like some of you feel like your chances of CL football qualification are all but over with what I'm reading. Which seems crazy to me when there's only a 2 point gap between us.

Arsenal are absolutely going to drop points between now and the end of the season. We aren't a consistent team, and you only need to look at our last 5 results to see the evidence of that.

Also, some of our fixtures are deceptively harder than you may think.

West Ham may well be fielding a slightly weakened/fatigued team on the weekend, but as we saw against Chelsea, they are still extremely dogged and well-organised. They also haven't lost a home game in the league since January.
Leeds are fighting relegation and certainly won't be a bye.
The north London derby is obviously going to be a cagey and difficult affair for both of us.
Newcastle are one of the form teams of 2022 and have won their last 6 home matches.
If Everton are still battling relegation on the final day, then this will be another hard game with a lot of pressure.

I'm not trying to outright downplay our chances, but I'm just saying that we can't let recency bias cloud our judgement. On the whole, Arsenal have been a very streaky team this season. It wouldn't surprise me if we have indifferent form between now and the season's end.

    Mate. We're Spurs fans.

We've been denied CL football by a once-only UEFA quirk and by an iffy lasagne, and you expect us to believe that West Ham will do us a favour?

<laugh> This is a fair concern.

However, West Ham still need to be careful that they don’t risk getting KO’d from the Europa League and additionally not qualify for Europa through the league, either. This could end up happening if they start fielding fringe & U23s in league games.

Worst case scenario, I think they get Conference League, as Wolves in 8th are too far behind now IMO, but I don’t know if their fans would deem that acceptable having been on such a high for the last two seasons.

They surely fancy themselves to finish above Man Utd. So they will still need to field some big guns.

If there’s one thing both sets of fans should’ve learned it’s that relying on other teams does Jack ****. We’ve all failed to capitalise on multiple occasions throughout the season.

I said I expected bumps since we took fourth and we’ve had them already seeing as we bottled it in the following two games and dropped to fifth. I think we’ll see more bumps for both sides and basically it’s just gonna be a case of who has less bumps come the end of the season. Wouldn’t even be surprised if the NLD doesn’t prove decisive as the winner of that will only likely balls it up the following game.

We will be able to add being denied CL football by the PL cowardly decision to postpone our game against Arsenal. (Thought I'd add that as I saw Brunel was here.)

Some awful finishing and decision making from Chelsea.
Both goalscorers should be in jail, too.

Crap stat of the day: McTominay's first completed pass of the 2nd half was in the 84th minute.

A terrific set piece goal from Sheff Utd to go 2-1 up.

Keita gives Liverpool the lead in a game that he should be banned from. Typical.

Half-time in the final day of League One games and one team is the standout loser right now.
Plymouth needed a win to guarantee a play-off place and they're at home against MK Dons.
They're losing 3-0 and had a player sent off right before the break for a second yellow.

Wigan and Rotherham in the automatic promotion spots as it stands, but they're only 1-0 up.
Gillingham need to recover against the latter if they're to stay in the division.

Villarreal getting a Saturday lunchtime kickoff after a CL away game on Wednesday night? I thought that only ever happened to us...?

Twine, who has scored 2 of the MK Dons goals, is way too good for League One

Mane studs the keeper in his thigh. Gets away with a booking and he's instantly subbed off! <laugh>
