Anyone care to explain the logic in these signing , coz I cant see it , neither are any better than we had already ,Apart from yet again sending the wrong message to the kids, upping the wage bill, wasting money we dont have ! neither being a creative mid which is what we need until Stevie gets back ! What the hell are they playing at !

To put this constant cry to play the kids into some context, if you read around a bit from people who get to see them play, you find that they are not quite all that we hope they might be just yet.

The person who I am quoting believes that Hoban, Massey and Mingoia are just not ready to step up yet. Whichelow had a spell at Exeter and didn't impress the fans, while Murray might be worth a place on the bench. This are the thoughts of someone who does not say a great deal, but when he does is often right.

My own thoughts on Hodson and Bennett are that when they first came into the team, and I was there, were that they were very good prospects. Not finished articles by any means, but showed a great deal of promise. Both for differing reasons seemed to suffer a loss of confidence and some of the comments on the message boards will not do anything to re-build it. I just hope that they take the attitude that they are not worth the time to read.

All of the kids should have a future in football, providing that they are not asked to do too much to soon, but as I don't see them day in and day out on the training ground, I would not wish to say that those who do don't know what they are talking about.

A good topic of debate Norway and I am fully behind you - I would prefer being relegated playing our own youth players than a bunch of has been VERY EXPENSIVE strollers...we are in the relegation zone and it seems the plan is to bring in these old expensive "experienced" players is the answer - well look at their records..absolute crap!!!!

Frenchie , Mason Bennett 15yrs old and getting game time under cloughie coz he is considered good enough! , our kids got game time under MM coz they were good enough then , what message are we sending to them! replacing them with proven failures, look at Nosworthy , how many relegations?!

Norway, you are getting it wrong. The kids may well be good enough to come in for a game or two now and again, but to ask them to play week in and week out against some of the cloggers around the championship is unrealistic. They will get injured, lose confidence and their development will be put back a long way. Mason Bennett. How many games in a row will he play?

If we cannot rely on the kids every match you have to have a team to put out. It might not have the players we wish for, it might not play in the way that we would like, but there has to be a core of seasoned players.

Did John Barnes come in to the team and play every match? No, he was brought on little by little. Some of the young players will be good if they are not pushed to hard to soon. Look around the sporting world in general and you will see players who ought to be reaching the top of their form burning out.

lets wait till the winter to play them when the conditions are tougher! great planning! , you wont see the kids under sean unless we have an injury crisis , and considering the squad size now it would have to be one hell of an injury crisis!

just a word Norway this thread ISworthwile the best manager in this country trust youth (mr fergolson) i dont see the point of playing forsyth who cant even control the ball when you have murray and whichelowe)

Dyche is souting every dumb catchthrase goingat the moment.

Just as an example we chucked a young kid called young in the team once- signed 5-6 other players and went up...

Whilst we dont have a young we arent looking and have gone on a ludicrous recruitment scheme by my count 14 players! We lost three!

The very very worring thing is that we are signing a loanee who was relegated from the champ last year, as was one of our better signings, our back up defender.

We havent signed a single promosing young player- remember when we had no cash signed bucley, williamson and cowie for about £400k and we've made £4 odd million off them. I cant see us selling any off the recent aquisitions for more than £50k if stepenshon is still availible get him back

The thing is some peoples alarm bells arnt going off (hornette) we have poor players cant score leak goals and every team below us is better! I appreciate we are a family club with certain ethics but dont forgetcrowd dropped to 8-6k last time we dropped to that level we would struggle to come back

If you're going to use facts to back up your opinion, at least get them right! He has made just one start for Derby & that was last week.

And whilst you are checking that one out - try finding out how many other players who made their debut at 15 made a name for themselves in the game. I can only think of one - who started with todays visitors. The rest all appear to be the journeyman types that plenty are against us signing - if they are even still in the game that is. :)
