Bournemouth at home in their game v Forest, which may be an advantage, but Forest have most points in the league since Cooper joined, when they had 1 point from 7 games. Bournemouth looked to be cruising at one stage, but as PNP says all the momentum is with Forest. It’s about time they got back in the PL.
please log in to view this image CSKA Sofia have extended Pardew's run as their manager, relieving clubs all across England. I think his contract at Newcastle's about to run out any day now, too...
Inter lost 2-1 to Bologna with this disaster of a late goal: That's drops them into 2nd, 2 points behind the leading club - Milan. Ouch. 4 games to go now and that could cost them the title to their biggest rivals.
Handanovic has back and intestinal issues, apparently. Included on the bench alongside their 3rd choice, but only as a real desperation option. Serie A has 12 subs on the bench, for some reason.
This West Ham score isn't good. They'll have to rest their entire first team for the second leg at this rate. Might as well give Arsenal a bye. We're not getting anything at Anfield so we need Arsenal to drop points elsewhere in addition to beating them in the NLD. Newcastle away is the faint glimmer of hope.
Horrendous if true. German commentators apparently physically assaulted after the Spam equaliser and had to be relocated to a different part of the stadium. Stewards did nothing. Stay classy, Spammers
That would’ve been a blinding goal from Bowen had that gone in… What a shame Not a bad game overall. I like the fluidity in the way Frankfurt attack, although they do leave themselves quite open for a counter.
I think WHU's participation in the Europa makes a difference to both teams here. They can't afford to go all out against Arsenal (bad for us) because they are in the middle of their semi finals, whilst they have mathematically a very good chance of overtaking you, but I don't think they will due to their distractions. Mind you if they go out of the Europa you should be a bit worried.
Not in their mentality. Spurs are their "cup final" , not them lot. Effing up the CL slot for the former means more to them than for the latter. The realistic best we can hope for this week is that IF Spurs win, the Spanners get a draw.
Beat Leicester and we're pretty much guaranteed European football of some sort next season. If West Ham lose, which I think they will, I'd say that guarantees Europa League as we'd be 9 pts ahead of them with a better GD and they'd only have 3 games remaining. What pisses me off is how we have to play Burnley in the early Sunday kick off after what will no doubt be a gruelling NLD late Thurs night, while Arsenal have been given until late Monday night to prepare for Newcastle. I know it's nitpicky but these small differences have an impact at this stage of the season. If we weren't at home I'd be fuming. I have a faint hope Newcastle could pinch something off them but it is very very faint. And then if Everton are still fighting for survival on the final day, maybe just maybe they'll nick something at the Emirates. But it's is very unlikely and ultimately we have no one to blame but ourselves. If we'd beaten Brighton and Brentford we'd be 2 points off 3rd with EL football already guaranteed.
