I wonder if we'll find out whether he jumped or was pushed? Has he fallen out with the players or the club? Would be interesting to know.
No! I am annoyed at yet another change but I'll get behind the new man (or woman!) from day 1 of their appointment.
? In addition to the 4 players on loan we will have 8 others out of contract in June. Unless we offer them all new contracts its a rebuild whoever we have managing us. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/queens-park-rangers/vertragsende/verein/1039 First decision is whether we will play 3 or 4 at the back, given the extreme rarity of decent wing backs. Then the small matter of an attacker who scores goals on a semi regular basis.
Absolutely, my expectations for next season are much lower than for this one as things stand at the moment. Plenty of leeway to develop and experiment. I would just like to feel we are safe at all times and to avoid this ****ing nightmare habit of losing loads in a row.
Not sure where to post this, but here will do....... https://www.westlondonsport.com/spo...c&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=socialnetwork Austin among players potentially leaving QPR By David McIntyre 28/04/2022 please log in to view this image Charlie Austin is among several players potentially on the way out of QPR. The striker, who turns 33 in July, was signed last summer on what was announced as a two-year deal. But it was in fact a one-year contract with a second year dependent on Austin making a certain number of appearances.
Well, he’s sort of an icon, a bit of a talisman, but yeah, time to go Chas, before you become a circus attraction, leave us with the great memories of top class scoring in impossible circumstances. Happy that someone had some common sense with the contract. With his seemingly constant attempts to get sent off or suspended for the short times he is on the pitch perhaps he’s had enough too.
He would have got a tremendous send off if we had won 3 more games. But then he would probably be staying. I’m sure those in the stadium will be respectful.
That explained why Austin hasn't played as much as we thought. Decision obviously made not to trigger a new contract...that would have been a problem with a semi injured Dykes and Gray
Confess that I'm pretty glad Austin is going. A shame we're not offering Barbet a new contract imo, but from what I've seen, and from what Bees fans reported, he's only good in a back 3 which is quite limiting I guess.
That would be the ****ing end for me. Total prick. Couldn't possibly be serious, I'd rather have Barton.
I can't decide... Did Warburton reintroduce good football at QPR or did all the pointless possession flatter to deceive? Did we put together a great run this season only to fall apart or did we just hit a lucky streak where everything went our way for a few months? Have we developed several exciting players in the last couple of seasons or just seen Chair, Willock and co riding the crest of a wave for a short time? Answers on a postcard please...
