German energy giant Uniper gives in to Russian rouble demand.

Other European energy firms are reportedly preparing to do the same amid concerns about supply cuts.
Uniper said it had no choice but said it was still abiding by EU sanctions.

"For our company and for Germany as a whole, it is not possible to do without Russian gas in the short term; this would have dramatic consequences for our economy."

Say what you want about them, but the Nazi's knew how to make their own gas.

A lot of the current issues are directly linked to **** ups by Merkel.

EU left exposed to crippling Russian attack as flagship defence system 'does not work'.

The executive director of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) Juhan Lepassaar is fuming over the issues within his agency. Mr Lepassaar vented his anger about the bureaucratic hindrances the ENISA has to grapple with during a roundtable on cybersecurity on Tuesday. In particular, the ENISA boss said that its incident reporting system, which is a mechanism for reporting and responding to cyberthreats, "does not work".

He said that at present, the system is too "cumbersome" and "bureaucratic", meaning EU countries often avoid using the incident reporting system altogether.

Well the default position to meddle in regime change all over the planet as America's lap dog hasn't really worked well for the World either.

The Yanks and British have been in Ukraine installing a puppet government since 2013 .

Neither are Nato countries let the EUROPEAN UNION sort it out it's them funding Russia as their best customers .

You think Ukrainian people give a **** about us ?

I wouldn't say that the west installed a puppet government, I think you'll find that was Russia, and from personal experience, Ukrainians seem to have a fair amount of time for us Brits.

As for the EU, they can't even sort their own washing, so leaving anything to them is doomed from the get go, and their actions have been a significant part of the problem that's got us where we are.

Well unless you have shares in arms manufacturers this is costing us billions of pounds we don't have .

Sunak has borrowed so much the pound isn't worth **** and we don't have room or housing for yet more immigrants to be fed and housed.

20 years in Afghanistan for nothing, Iraq Syria Somalia Lybia.

All worse off for the people living there after we interfere and plunder their resources.

We don't have the money to police the World and it's not our responsibility.

Boris and Zelenskyy are just puppets with a script , last year covid this year war in Ukraine next year climate change.

All with the same result, ****ing over the general public.

Send Boris and Liz's children to war not ours .

    They are obviously exempt

Given the atrocities recorded, I'd argue it is our responsibility, especially given some of the involvement prior to this.

As I said earlier, there are some that seem to have pushed us in this direction for their own ends, but we are now where we are.

The millions we bombed and displaced over the last 20 years weren't atrocities then ?

Putting rocket launchers on top of blocks of flats and firing at Russian troops would be considered using human shields if Palestine did it etc.

Little point in arguing with you, you picked your side and seem happy to be dragged into war over Ukraine.

I would personally rather we sit this one out .

We got dragged in before it even started, which I'd have very much preferred we hadn't but stepping back now really isn't an option for a whole bundle of reasons.

The other bits you quote are either inaccurate, or false equivalents, so I'll not respond beyond that.

He said France, which has a land mass of over 200,000 square miles, not Calais, which is probably as far as you got before getting scared of the foreigners. <cheers>

Was you dropped on your head as a child. Do all the letters in a post seem jumbled up?
It’s the only reason I can think of, which explains your stupid response above.
I’m neither left wing or fat, and it was Duncan that mentioned 20 miles, so well done on completely missing the point :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Sharon Stone’s legal team are looking at bringing a case against the Mail on Sunday for comparing her acting performance as Catherine Tramell with a common slapper. It now seems that the slapper herself was the source of the story. Obviously she had too many G&Ts on the Commons Terrace. Hoist with her own petard.

Apparently, Britain ranks second in the world for online porn viewership; and the peak viewing hours are 9am-5pm. So it would seem that not much work is getting done as everyone is watching porn (well, mostly men). It is probably WFH civil servants as they hardly do any work when they were in the office and now there is no risk of someone watching over their shoulder (which would make viewing illegal).

Why is it news that Parliament is full of scumbags? They are elected by the Great Unwashed, most of whom are stupid scumbags. So in that respect they are a representation of society.
