Funny one with Chelsea as they are playing tonight v manure,it's their game in hand and a win would dispel any doubts of finishing in 3rd place, lose and they would they would be well up for the Everton game or they could just be professional and try and win every game!
Had forgot about that, nice, ill be having a good laugh at Man U tonight then. Everton got 4 points from 5 games in April and only got 3 points in March. 7 points in 2 months is hardly the sign of a team with fight. Plus I can see Chelsea finishing the season with a bang, as he'll want to prove he can get results despite the stuff going on in the background.
Most people thinking it's between burnley and everton, but leeds have the worst run in. Man City (H) Arsenal (A) Chelsea (H) Brighton (H) Brentford (A)
Points in the bag is key though. Of Everton's 6 games, I only see them winning 2, giving them 35. Likewise with Burnley, who I think will win 2 and get to 37. Having 34 points already is huge for Leeds, plus those 2 games at the end are totally winnable and against teams already safe. Theyll win at least one of those, giving them a minimum of 37 points, which will be enough imo.
If Everton win their game in hand, Leeds are only 2 pts from relegation. I could see Everton winning all their home games personally. People are writing them off vs Chelsea, but I've got a feeling they'll win.
Everton have done well at home recently... Best us beat man united and drew with Leicester. An early Chelsea goal would silence what will be a white hot atmosphere.
It's massive pressure on them though, with their horrific away record, it only looks like home games they'll get the points from. And thus even a draw versus Chelsea isn't good enough right now.
They also have Watford to play though, who are essentially already relegated. That could be their saviour.
Burnley play them on Sat. If Chelsea and Burnley win at the weekend, which could well happen, Everton are pretty much down.
Burnley have Watford too though this weekend remember, and Burnley have hit form now whilst Watford stagnate. I think people overestimate the impact the behind the scenes stuff is having at Chelsea; a guy like Tuchel is someone who can galvanise the squad in times like this, plus he may resign at the end of the season if things deteriorate further, meaning he'll want to go out on a high. Also you have a key player like Rudiger who is off at the end of the season, and will be playing his socks off to get the likes of Bayern and Real to fight over him. A Burnley win and Everton defeat at the weekend puts Burnley 5 points clear of Everton with better GD and only 5 games to play for Everton, which is a huge ask to make up in that time.
The next 2 sets of fixtures will allow us to get a better insight into wher things will end up. It's crunch time.
Nah, squashing time. Time for Everton to be squashed like a little bug by an anvil falling out the sky. Well I hope anyway.
You're just trying to get our hopes up. Next you'll be saying there is an outside chance that the Mackems might not make the play-offs.
