Interesting effort from diaz. Shame did the hard but well going past the guy just the angle made it tricker on his weaker foot. Better though.
If you introduce hia then you must put off players who go for the head shot. It's radically changed rugby. New Zealand quickly started aiming for the head to get rid of their opponents no 10 or best player in the ruck. They had to pass laws that high impact equals an auto red. Football has the whole elbow and floating arm stuff. You have to set some form of rule to say stop some **** throwing an arm into vvds face in the first 5mins to get him off the park.
TAA was good again today. Solid defensively and usual going forward. Diaz had a bit of a quieter game. Defender did ok against him first half. Put in 100% effort though with closing down couldn’t ask for any more.
So how is that not a foul? Guy comes flying in, clips Fabinho but because he doesn’t fling himself to the floor and tries to get onto his own touch ref gives nothing despite no advantage as it goes for their throw.. and people wonder why players dive and exaggerate contact.
We broke their spirit but failed to kill the tie due to offsides. Three in the net. Several missed first half. Work still to do with this tie. This ref won't be missed. He is a ****ing joke.
