The argument with Klich wasn't at half time. It was like 40 mins in to the first half. It's not the first time Klich has had a sulk. He regularly had tantrums under Bielsa this season. I'd like to think he is frustrated with his own performances but it looks like he just doesn't get on with managers when he is subbed.
Phillips said in his post match interview that a draw is OK but not what the squad wanted. I don't think there is anything too deep going on. More likely that the pressure is ramping up as we creep ever closer to the end of the season.
That's what happens when you stop murderball I turned the match off when it finished because I was mentally drained from watching it and so I didn't see the reaction of the team. But they did seem to run out of steam in the last 15 mins because to fair to them they put in a fair shift for the other 75 mins.
The players were probably in an awkward position of being happy with a point but not wanting to be seen celebrating too much what was overall a disappointing performance in an attacking sense. Maybe they looked at it as two points dropped. Like you I don’t detect too much wrong with team spirit. They battled for each other determined not to lose. It just didn’t click going forward.
Been around for a long time so pick up on things when looking at the bigger picture! I hope it is just end of season nerves.
Body language from the players seemed similar to when we drew against Southampton when they all seemed a bit flat. Wouldn't read anything into it personally.
