I'd say it will all depend on how the contract talks go over the next few weeks. If acun/shota sell the dream and we plan to recruit well, then hopefully that plus a wage increase may just keep him for another season or 2

If KLP does go this summer, I think the club should at least insist on a season-long loan back.

It looks like the West Ham bid story is a load of bollocks and neither West Ham, or Spurs are expected to bid for him in the summer.

If he does go, it's likely to be somewhere like Brentford and they're not going to pay £15-20m for a player and then not have him playing for them.

It is according to the west ham scout I've asked this morning, they have watched him but don't think he represents value for money ATM

Honestly feel if a higher echelon PL club does come in then it'll be goodbye. We possibly have a chance if it's a choice between a championship promotion push or a PL relegation scrap at a 'second season' club, assuming our contract offer is a good one.

It's football. There will likely be twists and turns prior to it getting sorted out. Has the Newcastle interest gone away?

If it’s someone like West Ham though, he won’t be getting much game time next season.

Like you said and Howden said, the West Ham rumours today seem to be speculation, however.

I agree to some extent but other than the two crosses that we didn’t get to does anyone feel he holds on to the ball in tight space a bit too long when a simple pass would do? Not a major fault but he’s young and maybe releasing the ball earlier would help his effectiveness

He doesn’t like going backwards which is something I quite like and he doesn’t do it in silly areas is what I’d say. He’s very good at riding tackles and showed the ability to play some nice passes on Saturday as this video shows. I can see what you mean though.

Adama Traore (that other one) has started following the club and Acun on social media.

Me too I really like the one to Coyle, such a strong and quick lad can’t believe he’s younger then KLP.

KLP always looks like a boy in a mans team (looks not quality wise), could pass for a 14/15 year old he's tiny.

Interesting comment from KLP’s brother on Facebook. He reckons we should offer KLP £15k a week as Eaves is our top earner on £11k a week. I assumed our players were on £6K-£7K max from Ehab days.

I rate Allahyar a lot; think we have a decent player on our hands and can’t wait to see what he’s like after a full pre-season at the club. What I like most is his positivity. He’s always looking to move the ball forward. One thing about Wilks that I found frustrating was that he always played with his back to the opposition. Allahyar seems the opposite and wants to turn quickly and be running at the opposition. He’s quick, strong, has a bit of flair and works his bollocks off.

I think there’s always a bit of hesitancy when a player who has never played in English football before transfers from abroad and questions over whether they can adapt to English football. I don’t think that’s an issue with Allahyar; he seems built perfectly for the pace and physicality of English football.

He’s got a lot of aggression though. But yeah he’s not physically gifted like Allahyar is. Playing grass roots until he was 14 helped him with that I think because he didn’t shield himself from the physical side of the game that academy football does at younger ages.

I'm pretty sure we will see a huge return on our £2m investment both on the pitch and financially

Eaves on £11k? That is surprising.

This seems more believable in parts.

£15k-a-week for a Championship team’s best player doesn’t seem disproportionate imo. Isn’t the average wage in the Championship close to £30,000-a-week these days?
