Apart from the fact that Everton have had more pens at Anfield than Liverpool in the last decade, I'm reminded of the fact that Lampard played in the Chelsea Mourinho side at Anfield some years back that both Terry and Cahill took stints to be an auxiliary goalkeeper right in front of the referee, that was so bad that even Martin Samuel, in the middle of writing an 'Aren't Chelsea had done by?' series of articles in the Fail (he was big mates with Roman at the time), had to take time off from and admit that they were horrendous decisions by the referee.

The other thing that grates is that I have honestly never seen a performance like Richarliason's today. Just not one word at all at how, even by PL spoiler standards, this anti-football, Atletico Sockrobbers, the abomination of everything that stands against sport was passed down like a mutant gene from Mourinho to Richarlison via a surrogate host Lampard. Vomit-worthy.

Richarlison is their pin up guy
Obvs easier to get fans being a Pratt against us than actually developing the talent he clearly has
    Easy clicks

If you have more possession in the box you will get more penalties.

Visiting teams rarely get a lot of possession at Anfield.

Even if you think about Everton's performance from a defensive point of view I didn't think they did anything special.

They did the basics which I guess may count relatively as "playing well" when they've not been doing it for most of the season, but it really was more a case of us being awful for about an hour. Not willing to take anyone on out wide, Through the middle we only had one run from keita which ended in a bad pass, and a turn from Mane leading to a shot off target.

We didn't make them work enough until just before the goal where Origi was a presence up front and Diaz immediately took people on.

Get in! That was a horrible match - fair play to Everton, they wanted to bring us down to their level and they succeeded before we made our subs and changed shape.

Everton did a number on us in the first half but we also played into their hands and made it easy. Disappointed that we let them get to us.

With that said, Klopp made some great subs - Diaz instantly gives us that directness on the left wing to draw players out and take them on. He is now the nailed on LW option for me. Origi provided another body in the box which meant Mo could stay out wide and turn creator, and these two linked up so well. Hendo played a couple of lovely balls, one which led to the 2nd goal.

It was a real scrap but we dug deep and fought on. This was a far more satisfying win than vs United IMO.

Thoughts on Everton - they deserve to go down. Disgusting team, disgusting players. Pickford the smug pr*ck every time he catches the ball. Holgate, the skid mark, but has the biggest bark trying to get everyone booked. Gordon the little diving rat. And then you have Richarlison ... I know it's poor taste but I would not be upset if he gets injured. I want Everton to go down - 100%.

The irony is that Everton were the ****houses yesterday but we got lucky and got away with a stonewall penalty against us :)

That was quite possibly the most cynical PL performance i've seen at Anfield . Gordon first hit the deck inside the first few minutes while defending and continued throughout the game* . Richarlisons behaviour just confirmed his uber **** status .Everytime Thiago passed they left one on him to the extent that even my Mrs noticed it . All this was clearly part of Lampards game plan which makes the final score all that bit sweeter .

    * The one consolation is that i'm convinced the second penalty shout would have been given if the ref wasn't so suspicious that it was an attempt to con him .

    We are just too honest.

I saw at least two occasions where a drop and roll would have put them in real trouble

When dacoure hacked at fabinho at least 4 of their players were ready to sprint onto a row and there were two in there that actually hit our players.

I actually think richarislons actions were preplanned. The ref looked at him twice and wasn't willing to do anything so then when dacoure hacked the ref sprinted to give a yellow but everton were ready to start something.

Imo Gordon got away with 4 yellows and only got 1 and richarilson should be given a 6 match ban for simulating head injury.

    Ref was piss weak there.

It's very clear that Atwell took 2 or 3 looks at the matip pen. I think he hesitates and then see matip telling the little **** to get up and decides it must be a dive.

He even goes to blow a second time and pauses and points to the goal kick. Clearly a case of crying wolf that.

For me anyone who thinks you can survive by playing 17% possession and diving for frees and trying to get oppo events sent off deserves their relegation.

Sourness I think said at one point to Kevin Campbell that it's the easiest way to play football. Stand in and don't come out so he was absolutely dead wrong.

As bad as Sam allardyce was at 30% possession they tried hit a target man and get frees and corners and score off that. This was abject.

remember when we thought Luakau's stellar performance of 6 touches could never be improved on?

    Allan: hold my beer!

Both successful passes this chump made were from kick offs.

This guy earned 70k for this performance. he didn't even managed to fall over holding his face when he got the reaction everton were charging in to get.

Richarilson earned 45k per dive and roll about.

holgate only got 25k for sprinted at jota and punching him in the back on that melee to try get a red card.

Not a pen. for me.........Gordon is running out of puff and turf and Matip won't let him turn in towards goal. Gordon makes sure there is contact by
stepping in to Matip. Not a chance thats a pen., although we have all seen them given.
Everton were a right bunch of ****s yesterday and got what they deserved.....**** all.

oh i think the contact was instigated by Gordon so no pen for me but they are regularly given not helped by Maip using his arm which was why i think it would have been given if he hadn't spent the whole game lobbing himself to the ground every time a red shirt went near him .

Yeah, I thought Gordon was Evertons best player over the 90 mins. (apart from the antics)
He provided a decent counter attacking option and showed good pace down the left.
