Loool I thought that should have been a pen for Everton. Absolute nailed on penalty if it was the other way. And that should be Trent’s second
Some pretty dodgy reffing decisions in Liverpools favour for sure. But if I’m honest many clubs have been there, maybe it’s just Everton’s time!
Burnley have Watford away and Villa at home for their next fixtures. Golden opportunity to put some space between themselves and Everton, who have Chelsea and Leicester next.
Could yet be a big decision. Red card there, and he misses half of their remaining matches. With DCL presumably injured yet again, they need Richarlison.
This is the first time that I make Everton favourites to go down. Which is a sentence which sounds both sweet and surreal in equal measure. Even despite that awful defeat vs Norwich, Burnley have done a top job in turning it around over the past three weeks.
Yeah, tomorrow night is quite big for Leeds. 33 points from 32 games is OK - but if they lose tomorrow, there's every chance it will become 33 points from 36 games. And that would likely see them in massive trouble, albeit with two very winnable games to finish with.
Wouldn't be a bad thing if Leeds beat Crystal Palace tomorrow, damaging a few of their important players or a few red cards in the process, would make my next Match thread quite interesting?
Leeds look like a safe side the last 3 games. Burnley, look like a safe side the last 2. Everton have looked like relegation candidates most of the season.it will take something special from any one of them to turn that around.
St Brendy I agree. it is strange how Burnley have improved with Dyche no longer at the helm. They still have a big task to rebuild what is an aging squad next season. Everton going in to the relegation zone will be a fascinating experience for spectators. I am not sure that they will have the stomach for this. Looking atthe tbale last night, I could see Burnley getting up to 6 more points which woud put them on 37 points. Given the fixtures they have left, this would mean Everton would require a further 9 points. They have only managed 29 all season. I they they could beat Watord, Brentford and Palace but the other games are too much of a challenge, If Burnley get more than six points. it is game over for Everton. For ages it has looked like Everton were sufficiently less dire than Burnley to finish a disappointing fourth from bottom. The positions in the relegation slots has changed all season so you cannot safely predict with certainty. I do feel that survival for them is a step too far this season.
Burnley's next two games are huge. If they can get two positive results then it'll be hard to see them going down.
I think that I saw enough from Everton (v Liverpool) to suggest that they may well survive.....I hope not think they will
Leeds are also involved in this relegation battle. I have a feeling that Leeds will be the club relegated, although I would love to see Everton in the Championship, as do most supporters of Championship sides.
Everton are long over due a spell in the championship, they have survived by the skin of their teeth for decades, Evertons time has finally arrived.
