We never got to say goodbye to either of these saintly people and so I think we should offer a memorial service and all the great things they offered the forum. I know they shared a great deal of love and respect for each other and would be honoured to share a memorial together. Please share all you favourite memories of these two well respected members of our community.

And my favourite memories of Astro is all the times our club was losing he was always convinced we would still win and the only reason we weren't is because the ref was bent.
Didn't always see eye to eye with Tobes but actually had a lot of respect for him ... called a **** a **** (including me) and gave it and took it in equal measure without feeling any need to apologise ... pretty much my philosophy ... Saw Astro as something of a bellend with a fragile grip on reality, the intellect of a half sucked Haribo and the neediness of a Love Island participant... probably a sound lad in real life, if you could detach his rose tinted kop goggles

Astro was sound, i really miss the lad. Never abusive, never flustered and happy to keep a joust going until you gave up or got got bored. One eyed as **** but a knowledgeable gentleman to boot.
Hopefully Tobes doesn’t know how to de activate his account and ends up stuck on here forever against his wishes
U add so much yourself fella.......but apart from that I agree that this forum is dying.......lots of over modding for personal reasons rather than rules......being deleted from threads because some don't agree with your opinions. It's a pity when anyone leaves, I think at times people get too personal or into arguments that are not worth having. To me this is supposed to be a bit of fun with a little football chat. When it goes beyond that I wonder why people bother with it. Astro is not someone I spoke to much as I'm not interested in all the stats, Tobes I dragged here from JA606 and get on with him well. I hope they both come back but unfortunately I think that's unlikely with Astro.
