Because he was rubbish as James Bond
His level was The Saint and that crap series he did with Tony Curtis
The main thing is that with Sean it was about the action and plot, with Roger it was all about the gadgets and it was played as a comedy rather than an action thriller
I always rated Diamonds Are Forever as Connery's best. He was a bit older but the film was class.
The thing about Connery's Bond was he was ruthless in all the early films. Dr No, he just shoots some unarmed bloke sat on a chair in cold blood. Fcking loved that.

The Batman - 7.9/10
Enjoyed it. Much more of a darker/ sadistic feel to this than usual Batman films and a bit of a crime thriller more so than superhero type. As others have said probably a bit too long but at the same time I never clock watched wanting it to end. Could’ve done with a bit more action for me, would’ve easily broken the 8+ rating then but the film itself is very decent and one I’d happily watch again in the future.
Presume there’s gonna be a sequel/ trilogy, look forward to them.

Yeh agree with that. I'd watch it again.
You think who we see in the asylum at the end might be in the sequel?
I’d hope so, especially if Barry Keoghan does reprise it, think he’s a quality actor and would play the part brilliantly.
Never really been a big Bond fan but Connery set the bar and IMHO has never been surpassed... once I learned that Daniel Craig, rather than being licenced to kill, is only licenced to drive cars that are automatics, it made it a bit more difficult to take it all too seriously and become fully 'invested' ...
