Yes if that is what happened . Not seen it myself At the time the BBC said it was an important block ?
Just watched it again, defender made no contact with the ball only with Dennis Commentator said it looked like a foul Other end definite penalty VAR has turned us over again
Yes you are right but guess no one will care . Neutrals too busy talking about how wonderful Man City are . Most of our own fans more occupied with hating our own team and other fans .
I don’t know. The Richarlison deal, at least at one time , looked like value. Turn Sarr into a striker (think goals against Liverpool) and he could be worth a mint to someone. Maybe?
It was checked by VAR Scully, for about 1 second, much like the handball against Burnley, its only Watford so no bother
Was this the incident? "While the score was still 1-0, Joao Cancelo’s uncharacteristically careless use of possession sprang a Watford counter-attack. Emmanuel Dennis was running through one-on-one, albeit from close to half-way with a lot of ground to make up. Dennis made it to the edge of the box and was about to pull the trigger when the ball was swept out from his feet." My memory cells tell me that Dennis actually made it into the box and, far from the ball being swept out from his feet, his feet were swept out away from the ball. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...henko-real-madrid-b2064258.html#comments-area
Unfortunately don’t think it would have made much difference on Saturday. We were fighting a losing battle from the off .
I have no doubts it wouldn't have a made a difference - but it's the principle that matters. If VAR checked that and found nothing wrong then quite clearly the system isn't working. If it was designed & implemented to help do away with referee mistakes or help adjudicate on difficult decisions, it isn't doing that - and may as well be done away with.
