This will happen regardless of whether Warburton stays or goes.

    Looks like he’s staying though.

Seems so, the next few results will influence things, a solid finish to the season will make it harder to justify moving him on

The WLS chaps seem to think the decision has already been made and he'll be off. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Started listening to it, but isn't it from last season? They introduce it as the last podcast of the 2020/2021 season.

Now, I fully acknowledge that I come from the point of view of not much liking Warbs; I find him arrogant, dismissive of fans' opinions in the main and a coach who is reliant on the sports science to the point of obsession.
He also never stops telling us how tough the Championship is. We know!!
In my opinion he's overly stubborn, as are many other coaches to be fair.
One thought comes to mind, which is, if we're so religiously mindful of the sports science and constantly attempting to prevent players from breaking down, why the **** are so many players getting injured?

It's just the same stuff regurgitated but in a different way, I hear nothing new or insightful about going forward. Most on here will obviously disagree but I can't listen to him anymore it's become tedious !

One reason is there have been a few impact injuries to key players Willock and Dieng in particular, the Keeper who knocked his shoulder out saving a pen, and I think Moses against Derby, putting him out for 3 months.

The other is when he plays someone longer than planned because he was needed, as Warburton has admitted doing a few times. Don't know it caused an injury problem though. He has also admitted to putting players on the Bench when they aren't really ready, due lack of numbers. Sounded from today's interview like he maybe doing that with Hendrick tomorrow who hasn't trained properly yet after his hamstring problem.

    Yeah.
Just seems odd that we have just about the worst injury crises I can ever remember and yet we have a coach who is completely obsessed with the sports science, with the aim being to prevent injuries.

    Ah, yes. Sorry.

Of course this is true, but I just find it ironic that Warburton places so much faith in the sports science, with the continually mentioned aim of protecting the players from injury, whilst we have the worst injury crises I can ever remember.
Seems to me that this obsession with the sports science isn't working.
