The band is The Electric Flag and the guitarist Michael Bloomfield. In my opinion Bloomfield did his best stuff with Paul Butterfield in The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

Saw those two in Newcastle in the late 60,searly 70's guesting with Georgie Fame and Count Basie

 

Jealous as Clocky, Michael Bloomfield must be up there with the best blues guitar players of all time

 

Smiths influenced by this Stones covered it as well but the Smiths took it to a new level

The Prodigy are underrated imo. I know that type of music isn't very 'mainstream' but they are class. They are an important part of recent British music.
I've probably already posted this one, but their old stuff is brilliant..

I went to see them live in a nightclub in Essex just before they released Charly says. Was a mental experience

 

I've never seen them live but I would imagine it's still pretty mental now! (RIP Keith.)

 

It was Prodigy main act and supporting was Altern 8 and some fancy dj in between

 

And a fair few acidic substances flying around no doubt . Only very slightly before my time, I was a bit young for all the rave/acid house stuff but got into the music a bit later.

 

There may have been a few, I know I slept for 20 hours when we finally got home at 6am the next morning
