Roberto Firmino is only in the “maybe” category when it comes to who will be fit to face Everton on Sunday
As long as it's only 11 and not 12, we should stand a decent chance of beating them. Anything can happen though.
That's a shame if so... But we have Jota and Mane. Wasn't at first convinced with Mane in the middle, but he's improving and this is Everton not Man City. With Mane playing more in the middle, you do have to wonder if Firm is more expendable now than before and might leave soon.
Yeah but for the next games having the possibility to rest and recover mane and salah and Diaz and jota is important. So origi might make a showing at some point.
Manchester City, Brighton and Chelsea went away with draws at Anfield. Everton doing the same on Sunday under the circumstances of 'cup final' is unthinkable.
i take a slight exception to this remark although the build up was fluky as i'm firmly of the opinion that Div was very clever in the way he managed that situation and doesn't get the credit he deserves simply as everyone is too busy laughing at Pickford .
“Total disaster” of a season at Everton – weekend’s “bigger game” not even at Anfield As Liverpool and Everton prepare to meet in a huge Merseyside derby this weekend, we get the concerned view from Goodison Park. The Reds tore Man United to shreds on Tuesday evening, winning 4-0 at Anfield and maintaining their Premier League title hopes. Next up is the visit of Liverpool’s other biggest rivals, as they make the trip across Stanley Park on Sunday afternoon. Everything points towards a win for the hosts, with Frank Lampard’s side scrapping for their lives, but Jurgen Klopp won’t be counting his chickens. Ahead of the game, we spoke to the always honest Matt Jones (@MattJFootball) from The Blue Room podcast to get this thoughts on all things Everton, Liverpool and more. How do you assess Everton’s season so far? It’s been the culmination of years of incompetence. A lack of direction and character on the field, insipid boardroom personnel and a set of players who – barring a few exceptions – don’t really care all that much. A total disaster. What do you think the biggest problem at the club is? It all ultimately comes back to the ownership. There have been some appalling managers and awful players at Everton in the last few years, but Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright have been involved in bringing those figures in – the former actually thought bringing Rafa Benitez in was a good idea. Aside from what is going on at Bramley Moore, every facet of the football club has disintegrated since Moshiri came in. And to think there was such excitement when he rocked up Gut feeling: will you avoid relegation? In the body of this piece the everton lad makes an interesting point. Burnely play before everton do so they would in theory heap on the pressure. That could be critical. If wolves win I can see everton looking towards the next matches and trying tog etc out of here without a bad beating.
Just want to point this out. We all know mo. But just look who are celebrating with him and think how far the team has come.
I had completely forgotten Solanke exists. I saw.the Solanke shirt and furrowed my brow a few moments and then remembered... Why yes, he did play for us once.

Hope Thiago plays as well as he did against Utd, and we avoid losing any players for the rest of the season to injury as a result of EFC's style of play.
