What l really want to know is ‘What is an illegal immigrant?’ Why do we need to send men to Rwanda at a fantastic cost to us to have them assessed. When we can assess them in the UK at a fraction of the cost. Allowing refugees then to stay and then deport/send away those that do not meet the status of refugee. lt smells to me that this is nothing more than an attempt to divert attention away from ‘the liar’ floundering in his partygate quagmire.
Even now I think Johnson believes the grinning, bluster and cheesy responses will easily get him through all this. They won't and, when the noise stops, and we go back to the humdrum of reality, he'll be gone. An illegal immigrant is quite simply someone who has entered the country without passing through immigration control, presumably deliberately so because they don't meet the British entry requirements. Anyone with refugee status should, by definition, meet those requirements. Sending people from these shores to Rwanda to assess if they meet the entry requirements is, frankly, ridiculous. Having centres throughout the world to which people can go to be assessed to see if they meet the requirements is not ridiculous. It is obvious that, if people in this country are 'living in poverty', we cannot keep accepting people ad infinitum, as this will put a strain on the already stretched resources. However, I'd rather have any number of decent people of foreign origin in this country for any of the reprehensible troglodytes that make no contribution to society who are simply here through dint of birth.

Patel fails to negotiate with France, fails to deter the immigrants, fails to stop them making the crossing, fails to house/process/repatriate them quickly or properly and just shouts a lot. yet all those links prove the French are liars and never keep their word, they were the same with brexit and the French fishermen crying because they fished free for 40 years by turning their transponders off, yet hard working English trawlermen had to sell their boats to honour the deal, there is no honour amongst the French only big words
