Burnely win tonight and anything could yet happen That draw last night for Everton was a recovered point but needed to be 3 imo. If Southampton do them a favour here it'll be big.
No - Burnley need at least a draw with Wolves Prob a win as they have played a game more than Everton
Burnely can afford to scrape a draw v wolves if we hammer everyon for them The thing is everton have chelsea and leicester again next while burnely have two reasonable games

Attwell... attwell for a merseyside derby is this a giant conspiracy? This was the guy klopp had to call out and he seems to be rolled out for us at games we need wins in. Like the carabao cup final where a lot of talk was made of his antics However he's not anthony taylor so small mercies i suppose. We need a strong ref who won't take bullshit but also a ref who doesn't think this is the 1970s and allow made fouls left and right.
LAWRO HAS GONE FOR HOME WIN 2:0' Liverpool v Everton (16:30) It's a derby, so this will be absolutely manic. The game will start at 100 miles per hour and the tackles will be flying in, they always are. But, whatever the scenario and however hard they work, any away team at Anfield needs some quality to get anything from the game. Everton have shown some signs of improvement in their past two games but, defensively, I still don't think they have what it takes to keep Liverpool out. There are 47 points separating the two teams in the table, which illustrates the current gulf in class. Lawro's prediction: 2-0 Austin's prediction: Liverpool are really good, while Everton really aren't. I know there's the chance of an upset because it's a derby game, but I can't see it happening. I have a friend called Roger Bennett who does a podcast called Men in Blazers, which is for football fans in the United States. He's a massive Evertonian and I really want to predict a win just for him, but I can't because I am here to score points. 4-0
Fixture schedule really funking us over starting with this. We play Wednesday and then following Tuesday champions league. Whereas City play Tuesday and then following Wednesday. Add to that we play late Sunday before champions league and then the earliest kick off the following weekend. Whereas City get much bigger breaks playing Saturday this weekend and then late Saturday next weekend.
yeah but we have all these games due to massive success. I do think the Newcastle game is a complete joke and the rules should actually force the change irrespective of the team involved. I can understand scheduling is months in advance of a CL semi but theres not one other league in europe that woud have a team in a CL semi have to play Wednesday evening then go of and play saturday morning. It is only logical that you do not disrupt your natioal chance sof success and prestige like that. In the end its newcastle and eddie howe is not a defensive coach so we can and will make masses of changes for that game and have to get on with it. Win v everton. (need win) Big win v villa real (at home this is a MUST) Rest some v newcastle (need any win) Rest more v villareal (my hope at least) Big big big game v spurs. (at least a draw here needed, a draw keeps a slim hope alive but city must then lose not draw) villa then is a question: could be another rest if we can get the win. FA cup final - have to go all out. southampton - another rest Wolves - go all out for final game if we are still in with a shout. CL final (i hope has a week between the games) in actual fac tthe longer we keep the league alive the more pressure comes on the FA cup final which will be a real fall over the line effort.
I'm concerned that Everton will have seen Thiago control the game against Man U and will try to take him out. Literally.
Think we may rest for Everton, go all out for Villareal and Newcastle, rest for the second leg to then go full strength against Tottenham.
It could go that way for sure due to this being at anfield but I also wonder about klopp saying this is the longest rest of all in the next month
Everton manager Frank Lampard would happily take a draw in the 240th Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield. The Toffees have registered just six points on the road all season – their last win coming in August under previous boss Rafael Benitez – while their near neighbours have dropped just six points (three draws) at home in the last 12 months.
In the end its about how much encouragement we give them. We have to see off the lampard bulkshit team talks twice and the likes of the yard dog attacking our players out of frustration later. Only a moron would get themselves sent off with the games they have coming.
