now durham uni have asked professors to 'question the background of mathematicians' and ask why they are citing work from mainly white one's, this is to make it more inclusive and de-colonise and try to find contributions from other ethnicities. could it just be possible that there are more white mathematicians than others and this is just more crap to beat people into submission that all white inventions/policies/literature/art etc are now just seen to be racist in whatever way they choose to see it......who has wrote this anyway? surely the head of mathematics at the uni would be more qualified than anyone to say which curriculum is best for the students to learn from, this is just another attempt at pushing another domino over in the cancel game..........i read recently that it is generally believed that calculus was discovered in the late 17th century by isaac newton and gottfried liebniz(both white) remove calculus from maths, the world stops!.......anyway let's try the new way 2+2= racism
Non white people do invent things that, while not actually contributing much to modern society, do show a initiative and demonstrate an inventive thought process that makes life easier for some. For example, in my country the locals produced a stick that, when you throw it away, comes back to you, thus saving one the effort of retrieving it oneself. I don't believe that any white man has done similar.
How do you change a society? You can't change the mind of adults so you need to get into the heads of the kids at a very early age. How do you unsettle a society? Average Joe and Julie don't want to rock the boat. The poor will never rise up and overthrow the ruling classes so you need to appeal to minorities. You need to create racial hatred, you need to incite homophobia, and now transphobia where there is none. You need to convince people that they're killing the planet and you need to tell everyone to stay at home and ruin the economies of most of the world for a bad cold. All the things we read are branches of the same tree. Most people just buy in to it like it's the truth without any actual facts to back it up (like religion) and those that do put their head about the parapet are ridiculed as non believers (like a religion)
