Wood out, Gayle in just for something different. They have the mighty Grant Hanley - a proper lump, but he'd comfortably deal with Wood. Gayle, though, encourages a style of play that wouldn't suit Norwich's slow defenders.

Our attacking threat with Wood is almost non-existent so let's try Gayle for this one.

Agreed. I put Wood in because I'm sure he'll be picked anyway.

I think we've got to start with Miggy, as that goal will have helped him. Norwich have to go for a win, so us having forwards who can move will help us break. I'd also want to try Gayle - he can score against Championship sides so why not?

Agreed. Gayle would be my preference but it almost feels like when I wanted shelvey to be dropped but I knew he'd play anyway so I didn't think there'd be any point leaving him out.

Can I ask why people want to leave wood out when we've only lost a few since January and he has been leading the line?

It's working no need to change anything imo

I thought we've lost three times since January.
I'm only thinking about creating and finishing more chances. I know Chris Wood has had a significant impact in our excellent run and he does other things to balance his severe lack of goals.
I had predicted he'd score 6 for us by the end of the season, which now looks unlikely.

If you watch wood he's always there, he's always attempting to win everything,, he chases the defenders down and challenges for everything... Just doing that helps the side no end... Gayle can't do any of that.

Pathetic thread. No info from OP. Picture is from Chippy’s last visit to the Clinic. Just not appropriate.

    Full pre match thoughts

What I want the line up to be - (Wood will probz start but would prefer gayle)

    ASM--------Gayle/Wood----------Almiron
    -----Joe-------Bruno-----Willock---------
    Targett---Burn--Schar---Krafth
    ----------------Dubz------------------

Norwich may still have some fight left in them. We are basically safe, they are all but relegated now but may still have some belief.

We look far more vulnerable away from home.

I think it'll be an intense game, but I think we'll prevail.

    Norwich 1-3 Newcastle

ASM, Bruno and Wood for us.
