I think the fact that our defence has never looked more solid then it does now is thanks to the impact of Colo, He is the best defender (besides Woodgate) we have had in a long long time, and the last 3 seasons he@s had with us warrants him the status of a legend :D. Also the fact that he stuck with us during relegation shows his loyalty and the fact he's turning 30 should have no effect on whether he's given a contract extension, age is but a number, you only have to look at Giggs, he still has a good few years in him yet, he doesnt have blistering pace to keep up with the fastest of attackers, but his intelligence and reading of the game always puts him a step ahead.

He isn't a legend. Shearer is a legend. He is just a fans favourite

They can have him if they give us cash and Flanagan.

I'd rather we got a defender off them instead, especially one that has the potential Flanagan does.

Most people consider Les Ferdinand and David Ginola as legends, and I know people will slate me for this but they weren't here for more than a season...

Colo has been immense for the last 2 seasons an so far this season, i consider him a legend and i'm sure alot of others do, if he continues the rest of the season like this alot more people will change their minds and think the same. Besides its a bit unfair comparing him to Shearer isnt it? thats completely different, Alan Shearer isnt just a legend for the Toon but for England Blackburn Southampton, and one of the greatest Players in the history of the premier league!! If anything Shearer is more then a legend!!

What gets me is when people call Joey Barton a legend. A bellend yes, but not a legend

This, sadly, is why many think of us as 'deluded'.

If we wanted players, I'd rather demand Kelly + cash. Moot point though, as I wouldnt sell Colo.

What next? They've been linked to Guti, Colo, Raylor..

Note : Alan Smith is a potent striker with a very accurate shot on him, amazing finishing ability, unriveld work-rate, not the quickest but has good strength and his movement makes him a constant threat for most defences.

James Perch is a dynamite utility player who can cover every single position. He is the ultimate jack of all trades so to speak. His consistency, his fantastic work-rate, his discpline, mobility, tackling and positioning makes him one of the best versatile defenders in the Premier League.

Both come at a price of 10m. Absolute bargain if you ask me.
