I don’t agree on the Dan James part. He’s had to fill in for sick note Bamford for large chunks of the season. Out of position completely and unfair to judge him in those circumstances. Hopefully we’ll have some actual proper strikers at the club next season and James will be able to develop in his natural area of expertise. I wonder will Jesse adopt same idea that players will be expected to fill in various positions if required or try to build a squad with proper competition for places in every position

It was in the sense that he didn’t really answer the question asked of him.

    Evening all.
I've just read through the comments - bench Ayling, Cooper and Dallas. Get rid of Firpo, Bamford, Klich and Forshaw.
I've read that before and I do want to see Drameh, Cresswell, Hjelde, Greenwood, Gelhardt and some of the other good kids get game time but 30 isn't past your sell by date even in the PL.
I think the squad needs to evolve. It's ok bringing in kids but the defence has been noticeably better since Coops came back and sorted them out.

The consistent thread is that we need a striker. I've said it before - the best teams don't use traditional strikers any more.
Look at the PL top scorers. The first "Striker" you'll see is Toney at Brentford. Salah, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, Son, Mane.... They're AM.
When you say striker do you mean a bloke up front who scores ****loads of goals?
To guarantee that would cost £100m and he wouldn't come to us. Teams have paid tens of millions for strikers that haven't been as good in the PL as they were elsewhere.
Look at the money scum have splashed out and they're ****.
I've been impressed with the kids we have so hopefully the next team is waiting in the wings.

For my part I think Firpo will be a revelation under Marsch, especially with Cooper at the back and KP in the middle.

I prefer James over Harrison on the left wing but it’s not money that was wisely spent. It might well be through no fault of his own, I admit that but he’s still been disappointing.

Watching scum being woeful and take a beating at Anfield it struck me that we're actually not that bad.

Apart from the top three the whole League has been full of teams that flatter to deceive and if we'd be lucky enough to have had a normal season injury wise then we'd be mid table and still moaning...

and then moaning some more about missed opportunites to kick on...

and then moaning some more about the summer transfer budget/targets/failures etc etc etc.

Let's just get back to the Championship toute suite where we can have a proper moan shall we.

Italian National media also raving about Elia Caprile another kid we have out on loan
Leeds United loanee Elia Caprile hailed by Italian media
Italian media outlet Informaziaone Online published an article heaping praise on Caprile, who they describe as ‘Saint Elia’ and the ‘goalkeeper of miracles’.

It has been claimed that Pro Patria ‘owe’ the youngster for helping them avoid relegation this season. He has not only saved them from the drop, but Caprile has also fired the Italian outfit to 11th in the table with a game still left to be played in the season.

    6 points Burnley?
    2 points Leeds?
    1 point Everton?

I think we’re going to need a point or two from our last two games remembering Everton have 2 and Burnley 1 game in hand on us.

Was posting this elsewhere last night. Hard to credit how bad we were against scum in august. The injury thing was rolled out of course but when you look at our team we were mainly missing Kalvin that day
