Haven't seen the news yet. Having personally been in the situation of losing both twins before birth, I hope for Ronaldo's sake it was before not afterwards. It's bad losing babies, but having met them and cared for them and got to know them after being born must be a million times worse.

I think the decision will be fully down to him with the club telling him he doesn't have to play again but is welcome to if he want's.

Most important thing is there's more important things than football. I have a mate in the US who's first died and that girl is still part of the family after 3 boys. Did a lot of counselling and such.
When a players wife gives birth, seen some play the next day, seen some miss the next game. Pretty sure it's down to the player. This however it a lot worse, I think he will make his own choice and club has to go along with it.
