Giving him compassionate leave for tomorrow maybe, but there is no way they'll grant anything more. They should but won't.
They really don't get much choice in it as he will only play when he feels up to it and at his stage in his glittering career i have no doubts that they have absolutely no power over him when it is something as personal as this .
Really sad news that. Saw it earlier wasn’t sure if had actually given birth and one had died or if both still to be born and just found one is dead.
Haven't seen the news yet. Having personally been in the situation of losing both twins before birth, I hope for Ronaldo's sake it was before not afterwards. It's bad losing babies, but having met them and cared for them and got to know them after being born must be a million times worse.
So if Rangnick decides not to pick him what’s he going to do? We’ve seen it as this club and most other clubs that if a Manager doesn’t want you to play in the first team, you don’t and there’s nothing they can do it about it.
I think the decision will be fully down to him with the club telling him he doesn't have to play again but is welcome to if he want's.
Let's just say it will be his own decision to make himself available (or not) for selection and the club will honour that either way.
Most important thing is there's more important things than football. I have a mate in the US who's first died and that girl is still part of the family after 3 boys. Did a lot of counselling and such.
When a players wife gives birth, seen some play the next day, seen some miss the next game. Pretty sure it's down to the player. This however it a lot worse, I think he will make his own choice and club has to go along with it.
I think he meant; what on earth was he doing going to training when they clearly haven’t bothered all year. I guess that you can still win the ‘stopping Liverpool winning the quad’ trophy
