Thoughts on nick "no hope" pope apparant save of season yesterday? It's good but it's almost sky hysteria at this point. I've seen about 10 better from alisson alone.
Was decent but wouldn’t be going overboard like that. Ball sat up nicely for him, wasn’t like he had to get right down to the ground, or stretch up to the top corner. Think was one from De gea against Norwich which would have said was better from shot that he got down to and pushed wide. There are plenty of unspectacular saves that are better than the ones that look good for the cameras but don’t get the praise.
Good goalkeeping isn't just about the spectacular. Reading the game, getting your feet right so you don't have to throw yourself across the goal may not be so exciting, but you'll concede fewer that way. Of course it's great when you're capable of both. Mig was a great shot-stopper, but other parts of his game let him down. Pope is doing well, but he's in a team where he gets plenty of practice, retaining your concentration in games when the ball is at the other end most of the time is a different matter.
It's this kind of thing libel laws were invented for but then again, laws on sectioning people for their own safety
Try not to think of it like that mate. Think of it like Last shirt sponsor 200m over 4 years or whatever is was New one = more
Nah. If that was the case we'd be covered in Qatar and Saudi sports washing. If Google can sponsor mclaren they can sponsor us and sportswash their privacy breaching ways
Here's a thought, what if Everton sponsored us, instead of spending hundreds of millions on a new stadium they could send the money across the park and invest in something that actually is successful. I admit, it would look a little weird having Rupert's Tower on the front of our shirts, but...
Or wait until Innocent Drinks can come up with a £300m sponsorship deal. Or Harry and Meghan's Archewell.
