    Okay so I’ve been doing some research (anything to put off doing Uni work). I’ve put on my white coat, cleared the blackboard and picked up my pointy stick (felt laser pointer would be to over the top).

    I’ve noticed something quite interesting, a pattern emerging and this pattern is that in the 2/3 seasons of each decade we always perform really well. Okay 92/93 was the championship (Division 1 for all you oldies) but also 02/03 was one of our best seasons finishing 3rd in the PL. Its starting again and guess what’s popping up next season 12/13.

    Newcastle seem to be a somewhat of a rollercoaster club (by this i mean inconsistent whilst the premier league has existed where we perform well for 3 season generally around 2/3 3/4 of each decade, and then experience a slight dip. This season is showing that the rollercoaster is in fact starting to lift again slowly gaining altitude heading towards its peak.

    So there you have it, scientific proof* that next season we will finish in the top 4, what more can you want on a Friday afternoon!!








    *by scientific proof I mean guess work and drawing together information from the past which in no way influences the future.

    Yea that slight dip after 93/94 was really bad............wait hang on.

    Back to the drawing board methinks.

    Pun intended? I see how people think I meant that, I didnt mean a dip straight away and was said tongue in cheek which is hard to convey over the t'internet...

    Im just suggesting the omens are looking good :)

    Talking of omens in the 02/03 season Sunderland went down ;).
