FFS man, it's absolutely guaranteed to encourage more of the same crime.

Allowing the boats to cross will tempt more migrants who'll make the traffikers richer ...

... they'll be using the government white paper as a promotional brochure <doh>

So... it now comes to light that Rishi Sunak's wife was part owner of Lava Mayfair Club Ltd (a private membership gym), which collapsed last year owing almost £44million to creditors, including £374,000 to HMRC!
Another of Mrs Sunak's ventures... Mrs Wordsmith (an education business) went into administration last year owing £16.3million – after receiving a £1.3million loan from the Government's "Future Fund"!
OH IT GETS WORSE... Digme Fitness (which she owns 100% of) received up to £635,000 of furlough money... before it then closed its eight studios in London and Oxford... still owing HMRC £415,000!

So .... Mr Sunak introduces the furlough scheme ... and the woman he's sleeping with benefits by up to £635,000!
Mr Sunak oversees the rules regarding Non-Dom status ... and the woman he's sleeping with benefits by over £20 million!
Mr Sunak is in charge of ensuring that the UK maximises its tax revenue... yet the woman he's sleeping with has been active in, or has owned, companies going bust owing a staggering £789,000 to HMRC!

Mr Sunak says his wife's tax affairs are none of OUR business... he can **** RIGHT off!!

    Arrogance in almost immeasurable amount.

    If true god help us<doh>

The sad thing is that this will be one of very many cases where the treasury miss out, but it feels like there is an acceptance of this practice from the media (understandable because their owners are often bang at it) but also the electorate. What I mean by that is that any party who are seen to go after business people for what i’d call fair taxation are pilloried, even by people like us (presuming we’re not all super rich). There is money in the country to give people a leg up and ease the trauma of poverty and here’s an example. We just seem to give the ****houses who do it and allow it an easy ride. Probably because we often elect them. I saw a post the other day saying if Sunak’s wife was willing to put in millions to keep him in the treasury then we need to ask why. Here’s the answer.

Does it not make you pray more there was a alternative, and please don’t say Labour because if you do you are in cuckoo land.

That’s the **** thing about politics at the moment, the lack of alternative.

Look at France’s election. Unpopular Macron or ultra right wing Le Pen.

You’re obsessed with me supporting Labour mate. I’ve voted for 3 parties in my time, and will vote for two in coming elections, but yes the Labour Party in its current form would be a far better option than these corrupt incompetent disrespectful bigots. If you look at the policy of economic fairness /wealth tax /donor corruption alone there would have been three better options than this current lot. If you choose a party on the single policy of ‘get Brexit done’ you picked the right one.

On the bay near me 100s of illegal Chinese used to come and steal the cockles and they were warned daily not to because of the danger, one day 23 were drowned in about 10 minutes, word quickly got round and funnily enough I haven’t seen one since, I believe this is similar to the new illegal immigrant policy once the first 1000 has been sent to Africa and word gets round, they won’t be queuing to be coming here, and if I was one of the legal immigrants I would still be happy as I would be safe until my application has been seen, if the others don’t like that, I couldn’t give a stuff to be honest.

I wrote what I wrote as a reflection of what you said about Sunak’s money dodging. I’d say the one thing I throughly buy into which is or was a Labour Party principle is the redistribution of wealth - at least the gap being narrower. People living a very good life off the interest of their wealth pains me. Share it out, invest it in others, make things easier. Why would you even want such wealth while those around you suffer? Your post was about avoiding paying hmrc at a time when supposedly we can’t help with the cost of leaving increase for huge huge numbers of people who are struggling by already. What I was saying was there’s your answer. If we genuinely cracked down on the blagging and dodging at this level we’d go some way to cracking it. Knock on effects are less criminality, better wellbeing which are both increased by poverty.

I honestly have never understood why a person wants vast amounts of money that they are never going to or could use in 50 lifetimes, a very sad outlook on life. It would be nice like the oligarchs just to take it of them and tell them to piss off.

What's going wrong with things when this barely raises an eyebrow.

The government should really be giving these airlines a massive bollocking but nothing seems to be happening.

"Dozens more flights have been cancelled to and from UK airports today after a weekend of chaos.

Staff absences caused by Covid have helped drive serious issues at air travel hubs for the whole of the month.

Around 300 flights were cancelled over the Easter weekend by British Airways alone, causing serious logistical issues and ruined holidays for many."

Pinocchio Prime Minister. Quickly losing respect for even more members of the Tory Party. People making comments like ‘I’m not voting with Labour’ over demands to investigate whether he misled the house which he clearly did. It just makes the whole party look complicit when it’s largely just the circus surrounding his cabinet that’s at fault with this. Rightfully this will bite them in the arse in the local elections. You can’t run a country like this. Hopefully it does.

It's tragic mate, a nine year old would be ashamed of those excuses, it's on a par with 'a bigger boy told me to do it'.

The PM keeps saying 'I thought it was a work event' even though work events were against the law he'd implemented in that very building.

Then his colleagues excuse him by saying it's no different to doing 35mph in a 30 zone <doh>

Oh, and he's already paid the fine so that's OK, as if he had any choice.

Basically he’s saying ‘ I don’t give a **** about the rules and the law because I’m important, and most of his party are now saying the same. Apparently the party of law and order, as long as it only applies to peasants.

Someone, on here, said a while back that this insanity would become the new normal and people would end up accepting it all.

Some news channel, last night was asking people in the street about this latest scandal. Some were parroting the 'he's apologised so it's time to move on' party line so clearly that you'd think they were Tory MPs. The fact he 'apologised' then repeated that he was innocent, and unaware of the rules, seems to escape people.

Michael Gove described Cummins as 'a man of honour and integrity' and said “I think most people will understand he was under pressure, and sought to put the health of his wife and son first, and took care to ensure they as a family unit were not in danger of infecting other people.”

So, as you've said, the rules are different for those telling us what to do.

Cummins was worried about his eyesight so decided to use his wife and child as crash test dummies on a 60 mile drive around Durham. That's up to him but, clearly, the locals were of little importance and, if he'd lost control and skittled a few, Gove and Johnson would've no doubt found another fantastical excuse to justify it. The people making and enforcing the laws, we have to accept, have so little regard for them that it actually makes me quite sad.

They no longer even bother to pretend, just take us for hapless mugs.

The scenario the tory MPs have got themselves into is like the fable..

    'The Emperor has no clothes'

The tories have sort of painted themselves into a corner, by not acknowledging at the outset of partygate that Bonko has to go. Even the tory mag the Spectator has a cartoon of Bonko hopping along as a Knight on one leg, as his arms and other leg has been chopped off. It asks how long can he last.

Apparently there are lots of photographs of the party.. ffs somebody should leak them.

It's interesting that they haven't been leaked. Maybe they don't show what the papers want them to show.
