more pressure on them to get the win, but we must get a result. An extra point could be huge; three points ****ing massive. might go to the pub to watch this one if it’s on sky…. Or buy a day pass in now tv toast h it home alone, wearing out the floorboards
This match really feels like “it” doesn’t it? I know it isnt true, but it definitely has a feel of a loss or even a draw will be season ending.
Nor am I. Too much ying, not enough Yang, in that pairing at present. Evans is a much calmer head / counterbalance in the centre of the park.
A 2-2 draw, goals for Stewart and.coming back from 2-0 down would feel like a win ... ... plus a real kick in the testicles for Plymouth. A draw in the Wycombe - Sheff Wed game would mean we've lost no ground on those three teams. And still a game in hand on two of them.
**** ‘em, mate. I haven’t met one around here yet, which is nice. There are a canny few Sunderland fans though. The Fulwell micro-location in a nice part of London clearly a factor
Sounds idyllic mate. I got onto the Carlisle to Newcastle train on Saturday and there were three scruffy members of the same family with Newcastle gear on ... ... they weren't even playing ffs. Within minutes they'd engineered a conversation with other passengers so they could tark aboot tha Toon in their obviously exaggerated accents
I’ve gone draw in the prediction but of course I mean at 90 mins. There’s not a vote option for winner on 95. Thanks RTB
Brilliant match thread as usual RTB! A win would be fantastic, but a draw for either side wouldn't be a disaster. With Wycombe playing Sheff Wed, one or both of them will drop points in that game. A draw against us tomorrow would mean that we would have to win our game in hand against Rotherham to overhaul the 2-point deficit. Plymouth might hedge their bets that we'll fail to do that, so keeping us at arms length may not be too bad for them. For us, on the other hand, staying 2 points behind Plymouth wouldn't be too bad, given that their other two games are against Wigan and MK Dons, and we have 2 very winnable games against Morecambe and Cambridge. I'm expecting a cagey affair and hope that our defence can keep things tight, as I always expect us to score. I agree with others that O'Nien and Evans should start. 1-2 scoreline, Cirkin and Broadhead to nick it.
From the Plymouth board ... "Not feeling confident after Friday's game. I would say Sunderland are probably a better side than Wycombe, too."
The back 3 have done well but I just can't get away with it with the 3 he is playing there. Doyle, Wright and Batth then yes but Cirkin and Winchester as CB worry me against the better teams.
They worry me as well, but results indicate its working somehow. Neil obviously sees something I can't, which is why he's manager and I'm an Estimator for a roofing company firm
It works against a team wanting to sit back Winchester and Cirkin are both comfortable on the ball and can offer something going forward. When a team wants to attack us however i don't think they can cope. Think it will be 4 at the back tomorrow but god knows
thanks for another brill thread RTB in my view it will be a tight game with one goal in it , and hope to god the winner will go our way, god speed for all those travelling and i hope everyone keeps safe and helps cheers us on to a win, haway the lads keep our playoff candle burning.
