So much for the tories being Russian owned. Boris Johnson and British Cabinet ministers banned from Russia. Russia's foreign ministry said in a statement the move was due to the "unprecedented hostile actions of the British Government, expressed, in particular, in the imposition of sanctions against top officials" in Russia. It added: "The Russophobic course of action of the British authorities, whose main goal is to stir up negative attitude toward our country, curtailing of bilateral ties in almost all areas, are detrimental to the wellbeing and interests of the residents of Britain. Given the sanctions mean that those people cannot access any of the funds, nor spend anything that they cannot fully explain the source of, that'd be a pointless exercise.

The EU's top diplomat told MEPs that the European Union had been paying Moscow €1 billion a day for its energy since the war in Ukraine started. However, Germany has resisted calls for an immediate ban on Russian energy imports, claiming it would have devastating consequences for its economy. It would have been interesting to have seen reactions had the situation been reversed and the UK were reliant on Russki gas. I very much doubt that St.Tubs would have been refusing to pay. This whole incident is very convenient for him in many ways. He will be thankng his lucky stars that Vlad invaded.
Germany were warned many, many times over the years about the folly of their reliance on Russian gas. The UK were aware and chose other options, so the desperate attempt at whataboutism can be clearly seen for exactly what it is. It doesn't shift anything away from the fact that the EU are funding Putin, and that's before consideration is given to the French arms trade with Russia. But apparently, according to the 'experts' on here, the Russians bought the tories.
Yeah mate, i feel sure that being paid by Russia is causing him to supply missiles and anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. Which one do you want to promote, the "Tories are in Russia's pocket via corrupt payments" or the "happy that Russia have invaded so they can supply arms against them"
There are certainly concerted efforts from some quarters to make uncomfortable topics change, but sadly for those people and their 'arguments' facts don't change.
