Mike Ashley is actually giving us £35 million to spend on new players plus whatever you make from player sales! Using realistic figures and players who would you buy in the summer? This is taking into consideration that we stay up!

    I would sell the following...

    Xisco - £2 million
    Smith - £1 million
    Lovenkrands - £500k
    Perch - £1.5 million

I would then buy the following...

    Elmander - Free
    Gervinho - £10 million
    Wickham - £8 million
    Larsson - Free
    Figueroa - £8 million
    Jarvis - £10 million
    Badelj - £3.5 million
    Westwood - Free

    Net Spend: £34.5 million

I would then loan out the following...

    Forster
    Krul
    Vuckic
    Ranger

I think these signings would be good as it wouldn't change the team too much and then we could have the following line up...

    -------------Harper---------------

    Simpson---Willo----Collo----Enrique

    Ben Arfa---Tiote---Barton----Jarvis

    --------Gervinho---Elmander-------

    Subs:
    Westwood
    S.Taylor
    Figueroa
    Nolan
    Gutierrez
    Best
    Wickham

    What do you think?

Wouldn't get a keeper, bring Forster back and loan out Tim.
Not Jarvis, I'd go for Sylvain Marveaux. Don't think he would be £10m either.

Otherwise, yeah, I'd be happy with that!

  4. Elmander? **** off.

I'd rather spend the time that useless, lazy pile of **** takes up improving Ranger. Elmander had a good start to the season, and it was the form of his life, and he couldn't even get to 10 goals. He's what... 30?

    Keep Ranger, **** Elmander.

    I'd live Gervihno though.

He costs absolutely nothing and gives you something different. I really can't see why anyone would not take Elmander on a free. As it says, send Ranger out on loan to the championship so he can have a full season playing consistently.

Here's the plan Derek! Remember - top secret. OK. Don't leave it at Greggs when you get me daily order in for christ sakes or we'll be screwed.

    Flog:

    Xisco - £2 million
    Smith - £1 million
    Lovenkrands - £500k
    Perch - £1.5 million
    Tiote - £20 million
    Jonas - £8 million
    Barton - £7 million
    Enrique - £12 million
    Ranger - £1.5 million
    Guthrie - £2 million
    Smith - £500k
    S Taylor - £4 million
    Routledge - £1 million
    Colo - £8 million
    Simpson - £2 million
    Willo - £2 million

On top of the £35 million that brings us: £108 million

That means if we can't flog everything else that isn't nailed down in time I can still do the following:

Sell the club for £200 million (inc the soft loan)

Then scarper with more loot than I came in with!!

Busy schedule Derek. Get to work!

If the money is for wages is for transfers and wages then we HAVE to get rid of Xisco, what's he on, like £50k a week?!

Wages will be free'd up from players leaving. The money we have to invest will be mainly for buying players. Smith will free up about 70k a week! That's 2 players worth!!

Exactly. I also feel that the players I have stated will have smaller wages, are mainly all young and will all have a good resale value.

fair play but my advice would be to not expect too much and hopefully we can get a few nice surprises
if Mr Carr can find a striker relitavely unknown like tiote who proves out to be an absoloute bargain
then i would be very happy in the summer

Then buy Messi and put him on the pitch by himself.

I'm gona give it a try

    Sell
    Smith > 1mil
    Xiso 2-3mil
    Perch 1mil
    Krul-on lone
    Jonas 8mil
    Routledge ?mi

    Buy
    Doyle 7-8mil
    or
    Pavalyhenko 7-8mil
    Wickham ?mil
    Barnetta ?mil

Then my team for next year
    ----Harper/Forster----

    Simpson-Collo-Willo-Jose

    --Barton-Tiote-Nolon--

    ----Barnetta-HBA----

    -Doyle/Pavalychenko-

Would like to keep Jonas really but if the 8 millon price tags true i'd let him go (although if he plays like last nigh?)
Not sure how much Wickham or Barnetta would set us back but i think both should come at a resonable price
I'd bring Forster back on lone from Celtic and see how good he looks compared to Harper or Krul
Looking at a Premiership striker for next year I'd go for Doyle or Pavalychenko. I could see either of them coming but it's a matter of price and i wouldn't pay more than 8mil for either

I'd take Gervinho, Elmander and Larsson, not sure on the others you've mentioned to be honest.

I must be the only one who wouldn't sell Perch, keep him as back up LB, saves having to invest in that position. I'd also like to see us sell Routledge, something which will probably happen. I'd love to see us go in for Pavlyuchenko but we may struggle to get him. A new center back would be preferable but not sure who would be available. I like the look of Kadar though, maybe he can fill the void left by Campbell when he hangs up his boots (some may say he already has). This could be our team next season with those additions suggested:

    Harper/Krul
    Simpson/Raylor Coloccini/Kadar Saylor/Williamson Enrique/Perch
    Barton/Larsson Nolan/Ireland Tiote/Smith
    Gervinho/Jonas Pavlyuchenko/Elmander Ben Arfa/Ranger

Tash - you are criticising Elmander for being lazy and then championing Ranger, crazy.

    Sell:
Xisco - £1.5m (Sell him for anything to get him off the wage bill)
Smith - £500k (ditto with Xisco)

    Sign:
    Barnetta/Marin
    Wickham
    Pavylchenko/Elmander
    Ireland/Kranjcar
& a Carr wonder signing bargain.

I'd have Forster as #2 keeper and loan Krul out, see what he can do as a first choice keeper at a decent club like we have done with Forster this year.

If only there was a <hate> smiley to aim at all the people suggesting we sell Lovenkrands.

I half agree... Tidy player, but if we want to push up the league we could do with better.
