I don't really care, this isn't a one off thing. For the last 2 seasons, he's consistently missed big chances and if he wants to play PL he must start taking more
That’s why most are in agreement he’s not quite premier league quality yet and scouts watching it will probably agree. My point necessarily wasn’t about the miss more so the point that we’d have lost 5-2 if they took their chances
Loads of premier league players miss big chances. Teams will see him getting in positions for chances not necessarily scoring them.
KLP has done well to hit double figures this season, as he has spent most of the year out wide. He does miss some, but if he keeps getting into these positions and gets better balls into him he will thrive. If he stays next season, I think he’ll do really well.
Everyone misses chances, but he seems to miss way too often. It feels odd that we're even in a position where people are thinking of paying £15m+ for a kid who's only just hit double figures. I suppose that's just the market for young English talent though but while he does have a lot of potential, he still got a long way to go. If he stays, he has to kick on next year in a big way but a pre season under Shota won't hurt him
He’s not a striker teams won’t look at just goals. They’ll look at goals like the one he scored at Forest.
Like assists but he's got **** all of them too, just the 3. He's a decent young player who's shown promise but he's hugely over hyped. Brennan Johnson is in a different league completely
Is he though? They were both in top 6 sides last season and he outperformed him. Brennan Johnson is playing in the 3rd best side in the league. He’s probably better yeah but he’s in a completely different environment to thrive.
12 defeats at home is not a good read and this has to improve next season. I watched Forss yesterday when he came on he never looked interested complete opposite to Sayyadmanesh. He didn't press a defender or run faster than a light jog he certainly wasn't playing for a permanent move to us in the summer
He has been playing this season in a lower placed team and still performed well, earlier in the season I would agree with you he seemed to believe his own hype. He is going to be a top player and what's more he is ours. One more thing is where do you think we would have been without him?
Forss is one of the least interested footballers I've ever seen. The guy never gets off the ground when the ball is played to him in the air.
Slater once again proving he's one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment. Really mature performance by a young lad still learning and improving in midfield.
5/11 players u23 in the starting team, 8/18 u23 when you add the bench. Bottom 3 budgets in the division, to be safe with 4 games to spare weve overachieved this season and providing we keep the dressing room atmosphere of grit and fight which no one could question 95% of the time this season we’ll fly up the table next season with the right additions. Allahyar is the perfect example, we’ve got a 20 year old lad who’s ran himself into the ground for the team and scored in the process. Very raw but can’t ask for much more on the effort front. He set the tempo for the side with the high press but also did the dirty work tracking back, bags of pace, proper strikers goal. Need to be looking for similar profiles, none of these luxury players coming in unless you’re going to spend well on a central player who can make up for a Grosicki type who’s magic in the final third and not interested in the other.
As we've seen, there's really not that much between a tonne of sides in the league and if you look at the league table from November, we're 10th, so we clearly aren't complete ****e. KLP is without a doubt overrated, he might become a decent player but he's got decent holes at present. Whilst Longman has been poor recently, his goal & assists per minute is still significantly better than Keano's so we do have to be realistic. If someone offers £15m guaranteed for KLP, you snatch their hand off and run to the bank
I am also very impressed with slater, wasnt so sure why we signed him really....but i can now see why...he'll be an integral part of our team next season as we aim to push on.,.so well done lad
He’s 21 of course there’s holes in his game, you’re judging entirely on goals and assists which doesn’t take into account his overall influence on the game which is far greater then Longman’s. Who cares if he’s overrated he’s our best player. These chances he misses are only highlighted more because of how few we have. I’m sure he’d have loved to have come through with players like Grosicki in the side like Bowen did but he hasn’t.
I'm not judging entirely on goals and assists but for they are the fundamentals for a player in his position. All you've done is make excuses when the truth is, he isn't as good as Bowen was at 21. He just isn't. Bowen came through a poor side that spent most of the season in the bottom half too. Both sides had the positives and their negatives but I don't think there's much between them. I don't think KLP's influence on the game is much greater than Longman's either when played in the same position. They both drift in and out of games, KLP is more skilful yet Longman's end product is better (although still can be lacking). I'm not saying that Keano isn't ahead, but he's certainly not that far ahead. It's also worth pointing out that Longman's a winger that's been used as a full back recently And he's definitely not our best player, Honeyman is
It's all about opinions isn't it , I've just read somebody else saying Honeyman has done nothing this year
