Loved Allayhar’s pace and effort , but can’t recall him receiving a pass from a teammate, nor did Forss for that matter.
That’s what we need to bring in, off the shoulder i don’t think there would be many better. Took his goal well. It pins players back too as they have to worry about his pace in behind on the counter. They brought on 2 extra midfielders to deal with it.
I thought McLoughlin had a below-par game, there were 3 badly misplaced passes that put us under pressure and we were only saved by his fellow defenders.
It was nice to get this home run of defeat put to bed, and get than monkey off our backs. I always thought if we can get the first goal, we can then go to get the win. A third goal would have been ideal, as that would have settled things down, as it all became a bit nervy in the 2nd half. I thought Greaves and Jones were excellent, but McLoughlin, who misplaced 3 bad passes which put us under pressure, didn't have his best game. Coyle was steady and took his goal well, though Longman when he came on performed well. Fleming was very good again, as were Smallwood and Slater, the latter seems to get better and better, £50k for him is a real steal. George did what George does, never gave them a minute peace. I agree with those that to say Allahyar was stand out MOTM was probably overstating it, though it was a game whereby no one really stood out, so he deserves it for his goal and industry. Having said that, there is a real player in there, and he had a very good all game. He reminds me a bit of a raw Hernandez, I'm sure he will develop into a fans favourite. To say his goal was an easy one is totally undervaluing it, his alertness to see the opportunity, and his pace to get there in front of the keeper was excellent movement, which made the goal itself a formality. Finally, congratulations to Shota and his team and the players for getting us over the line. I saw on Instagram a message from Shota thanking Grant for his efforts in helping us to secure our Championship status, which I thought was a nice touch.
Just thought if all those shots that Cardiff didn’t have had not gone past the post and gone in we’d have lost about 5-2, so we are not very good
I had a free bet on Man City earlier this week. Forgot all about it until 6 minutes into extra time. I still got odds on the draw (it was 0-0 Ithink) and got 78p back. Winner winner chicken dinner.
To be 16 points above the bottom 3 with our financial restrains is an unbelievable achievement. The lads deserve tonnes of credit. I've attached two league tables below, one from the start of the season to the end of October and one from November onwards. It's pretty clear that once we got used to this league, and got Honeyman back we're a totally different beast. With the right additions, we can have a real go next year.
You seem heavily invested in everything been brilliant since you were ITK about the new owners. If I took notice of the posters on here id believe all the squawking it’s a league 1 squad after every defeat When it isn’t and never was. So you be you A bit prissy and sensitive
Part of a forum, doesn’t read the room. Hot take. Yes, it’s an amazing, only just saw off relegation, spent most of the season in the drop zone Championship quality squad. How silly of me. Fulham must be kicking themselves at not picking up Doc or Smallwood in January.
If KLP had scored his chance we’d have been 3-0 up before the 60th minute. Ingram didn’t have a difficult save to make. We could say stuff like that about loads of our games this season.
