The one thing about Bielsa is that he never blamed anyone but himself. All Marsch's comments have done is brought a divide in our fans because he didn't need to say anything. You keep things behind closed doors.
Not everyone totally bought in to Bielsa and his methods. I have seen many posts showing blind loyalty and many more questioning his methods. Bielsa, was free to say anything he liked and so should marsch be.
Thats a great point regarding Klaesson because the majority view on here was that he isnt good enough as a No2, but he was awesome and as you say he was well protected in the main
Well I have watched Huddersfield twice now in last 7 days, please don’t anyone bring up the option of O’Brian as a transfer, he is sub standard even in the Championship, can’t do basic things like control a ball, play simple passes, no pace on him, who highlighted him?
I didn’t see him today but I watched them earlier in the week (might have been last week), I have to agree I thought he was bang average he certainly never stood out
Saw some of today’s game and he didn’t stand out. But when I’ve seen him before he’s looked a good player. Consensus is he’s had a good season.
Well let me put it this way, I would rather play Shackleton before him and I don’t think Shackleton is going to cut it.
I watch alot of Championship football. O'Brien is definitely a talent when he is 'on it'. The reason he is still in the Championship is that he is not consistent. Quite often this season Corberan has played him further forward as a 10 and it just doesn't suit him. He would be a direct replacement for Klich imo but not necessarily an improvement. The real stand outs for me this season have been Carvalho at Fulham (Liverpool have signed him for next season) and Brennan Johnson at Forest. John Swift is a cheap upgrade in midfield on a free and Harrison Reed would suit our style superbly alongside Phillips as would Flynn Downes at Swansea.
Don’t disagree with any of that, though I’ve seen too little of swift and the Swansea lad to comment. I always quite liked reed… reminds me of forshaw as it goes. I think o’brien could be an alternative to klich or forshaw. He’s still only 23. Probably one of those decent squad signings but doesn’t get you too excited. I think we’ll go back and try for aaronson as klich ‘upgrade’ - what we do with the rest of the midfield probably hinges on what happens with kp.
We have Ayling, Forshaw and Dallas all going into the last year of their contracts and all over 30yo. What does Jesse do? All 3 are options to start or a better bench than this season. We slipped up not offering Alioski a better contract and we missed him, so how do we treat these 3 and remember Coops is also in this category….
