As Everton have found out, having a rich owner willing to spend doesn't mean you can spend, FFP is actually a thing.
The noises are that nufc will have a quiet summer... FFP being the noise. We'll see, but it'll be better than an Ashley window that's all I care about. Get it right.. No need to be daft and end up like Everton.
Exactly, you're not going to cook a filet mignon steak if all you have to work with is a rat and a blow torch.
Well actually, Everton have consistently spent over their income by an average of £100m a season and it appears like they're going to get away with it. FFP is a joke. Almost no one gets punished for breaking the rule. Just throw it out already if it's not enforced.
I'm loving it so far and I'm sure it'll take many years, but somewhere down the line they'll get into Europe and then they nail a place down. On the evidence do far they're not idiots which should come as no surprise really considering you're dealing with people that run so many successful businesses in all sectors. Just one cup before I die would be nice.
Everton spent about £500m before they worried about FFP Bolasie - £25m Schneiderlin - £20m Gylfi - £45m Klaasen - £25m Walcott - £20m Keane - £25m Pickford - £25m Tosun - £20m Mina - £27m Iwobi - £27m Kean - £25m Gomes - £22m Gbamin - £22m It’s like they were trying to just burn a load of cash looking at that list
It was spending without a plan or sense of direction. Had they had the right manager or chairman in place the money could have been better directed. Everton were knocking on Europe's door for a long time. They were good enough to move up a step with that investment. Just unlucky to be badly run and make poor management decisions.
Yeah it's why I'd like West ham to won the Europa league.... It's something we all want.. It can happen just ask Fosse
Told ya you'd get a point @brb Shame Morecambe got a shock win but beat Fleetwood on Monday and you've got a great chance.
