Well if you look at purely results you can see why they might want to get rid of him.

dumb move by Burnley, cant see any new manager turning it around enough with only 7 games left (8 right now, but they wont appoint a new manager till after this weekends match).

He got Burnley to the PL and kept them in it, on a **** all budget.....

Not saying he didn't do a decent job there, just think his football is **** and I don't like the man anyway so I'm fine with it.
Was the only way they could stay in the PL with those players.
