Only difference now is Liverpool need someone else to beat City even if they win all their games.

 

They don't need someone to beat City, a draw will suffice if they win all their games.

 

True, but now they can't influence the result, only hope someone else can

 

And they must be kicking themselves that they've got to go to St Havitalls in Hampshire needing all 3 points.

Got a three word text from a Villa fan this morning, simply saying “Don’t rate Ings”.

This cheered me up a tad, though everything football related is still **** flavoured after Saturday

 

I see Garth Crooks has once again overlooked any Saints players for his Team of the Week.

 

Dyche has been sacked - seems odd timing and a decision of desperation. Pretty much secured the bottom three now.

 

What the ****? That's outrageous.

 

The question is, who are they bringing in? I assume they have someone line up - Big Sam perhaps?

 

Seems mental that especially timing wise.

Think that makes Ralph 3rd longest serving manager in the league now?

 

Unless they have spent the week working on his replacement (to be announced literally in the next few hours), I have no idea why they would wait until today. They could have sacked him at the start of the week.

I mean, to sack him at any time has shocked me. But to wait until just two days before their next match...

 

They only did as they were scared of us next week so they can get new manager bounce.

 

Whilst I wouldn't be putting money on it, I wouldn't be shocked if he was still in the dugout for Watford v Burnley at the end of the month. But the other dugout.

He does have history with Watford, as captain and manager.

 

I would be very surprised if he isn't Watford manager next season.

 

Imo this is worse for their next season if they go down.

You could put your house on Dyche bringing them straight back up from the Championship.

Whoever comes in is going to have a hell of a job following him up.

It is going to be weird seeing them without him, Dyche is basically the public image and personality of Burnley Football Club, the only person I associate Burnley with anywhere near as much as Dyche is Jay Rod and he is nowhere near as important to them.

 

They must have somebody lined up as assistant manager Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer are also gone.

 

The gravy slurper must be in the frame I reckon.
