I'd expect nothing less from you. I agree with you though, it won't be easy - they're there on merit.
Oh not meaning I think we lose I just think it will be a really tense affair Not even trying to call the semis I think city Madrid tough too As it should be to be honest
I think you are right but purely cause it’s a semi and Real know their way around these euro ties it will still be tricky
Real have only needed to play well for about 20 minutes total in each tie against PSG and Chelsea and still went through. City may be the better team but I think Real will win the cup.
Lads ... it's Tottenham players with an Arsenal Manager, we'll be fine Nah, it's gonna be tight. They've knocked out Juve and Bayern so they're there on merit. They're the sort of team we need to be clinical against. That's not always our strong point. We're still favourites though.
Two English teams in the semi final of the champions league. Is it going to be English clubs final or Spain v England?
Just looking through our next few fixtures City in the cup semi final, Utd, Everton, Villarreal semi final CL.
Good debate on talkSPORT last night and this morning about how Atletico play Nobody was this arsed when they took out Lmao but in terms of the debate I don’t care how they play - not sure I am comfortable with this move to make football more akin to basketball. I do think refs should wise up as it is not rocket science and I think that on its own would reduce their histrionics
Each team can play exactly how they want. I think my gripe with them is they have £100m Felix. Griezman that cost Barca £100m. Suarez who is a quality footballer. Koke, Lemar, Cunha.. some quality players there who should be able to play some good football. Now they obviously win games and Simeone seems to have got them all to buy into it so def can’t complain there (they have a style that the players play to so are already in better shape than teams like United). But do wonder how well they could play if they actually tried to play a nice brand of football as it’s not like they’re a lower mid table team who needs to sit backs to the wall, break up play as can’t go toe to toe with the big teams. They are the 3rd biggest team in Spain! Now the play acting and all that is what I hate and would love for refs to start properly stamping it out but same could be said across all leagues and teams. That being said, if Liverpool played like that I’d hate watching us play.
I have no issue with any side choosing their way to play but I do think that refs need to show them and other divers and time wasters short shrift. Atletico just bring the negativity and cheating to a special level. We have to remember there are still plonkers who think modinha can do no wrong in this country. His real madrid side and chelsea sides were absolutely filth for the same cheating. If a side wasn't to park 11 and their coach wants to jump up and down all game shouting at the home crowd fine. If a neymar or whoever like foden wants to roll about like they are shot then thats cheating and needs to be resolved. Atletico are merely seeing what can be got away with and getting away with it. Same for snide fouls. refs let some players like fernandinho away with it constantly. just a regular tick over of blocking off and pulling players down before they get into obvious yellow card runs. yesterday a benfica player threw himself into salah flopped about holding hip and wasn't even punished. The issue for me is there is no lower standard of punishment below a yellow in the game to dole out and shut this stuff off. a free in the opponents half where you can get 11 men back is no punishment at all. In fact its desirable
Can't believe people wanted City to beat Atletico because of their style. They could be a team of Putins and I would want them to knock out other English teams.
wellllll.. chelsea and city are teams owned by putins. 6500 dead in qatar for thier building programs. Russia has raped and killed across Chechnya, Georgia and now Ukraine. Atletico by contrast are merely annoying.
