    Great stuff again RTB.
Our recent history against Shrews is not brilliant and all games have been very close. They'll be up for it just cos they're playing us and can play with freedom as there's no pressure on them at all.
This should mean they won't shut up shop and we can hopefully take advantage of that.
I'll happily take another 1 - 0 in added time. Results are the only thing that matters now and a win will put added pressure on our rivals playing on Saturday.

Just bought my ticket, can't wait, first time in over 3 years due to work, location and Covid.
Feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas, at the age of 66 is that mad?

It isnt mad at all mate. We have to get excited by our club when they are in with a chance of promotion. Not much point otherwise. Forget all our near misses and failures and lets get right behind them and be excited by the prospect. Footy is for us whatever age.

Not mad at all mate. I can only get to the match very infrequently for a variety of reasons but the excitement is always there - and I'm older than you (only just). Hope you really enjoy it and the result goes our way.
Mind if we don't get 3 points you know who we'll be calling a jinx.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'd not paid much attention to Shrewsbury but kept hearing what great form they're in.

When I looked, at their last three games, it's a home draw, away defeat and a 1-0 home win against Lincoln.

I'm sure they're a decent team and am hoping we don't get a 'Gillingham' display from them.

I always believe we can break on teams who have a go, as Oxford found out, so it could be a decent game.

I'm hoping Pritchard is back and that Broadhead starts, if that's the case I'd think 3-1 is a fair prediction.

Hoping for a comfortable 3-0 2 goals up at half time and coast second half rest a couple. The last few home games have had me a bundle of nerves/pissed off energy sat in my seat for most of it hoping to just sit back and relax on Friday we can save the last minute winner for Plymouth.

    Just packed my bags <laugh>

Driving to Gods city tomorrow morning and staying with me Mam. Says she has us a Chinese takeaway for tomorrow night. Friday morning walk along the beach for me. Off to me Aunties for one of my favourite dinners - sarnies and brandy snaps with squirty cream with some cans on the side. Me and my 2 cousins. Match and a couple of pints after. Back to me Mams for a kip them early drive to Brum station for a 1ish train to Plymouth. Few days out in Plymouth with top mates and a match somewhere in between. Home on Tuesday, at some point, 6 points in the bag. Hope everyone has a cracking lomg weekend, see you all on the other side :1980_boogie_down:

That all sounds great mate, hope you have a great time.

I can't make Plymouth, more's the pity as I have a great Sunderland mate down there.

I'm there on Friday though, train into Sunderland for noon and meeting up with mates in Chaplins then in the Fire Station.

The return gets me into Dumfries at 10pm and no onward travel ...

... so, providing I can get through the day and the train journey back without a drink, I won't have to sleep in the back of the van in Dumfries <laugh>

Seems this will be another 30,000+ crowd

That would be impressive if, we were chasing the automatic places, it was our first season here and Sheff Wed were coming. But this is Shrewsbury who'll bring about 500 plus a few idiot Mags who'll hopefully not have any teeth left to eat their Easter eggs.

Our support is fantastic and hopefully the players can start to feed of it instead of freezing ...

... Haway Lads, we're on your side, just get stuck in from the start.

I think it will be an open game, they are more or less safe with nothing to play for. Target Flanagan with pace, we all know he was a half decent centre half but struggled on the turn, I would tell Broadhead to run at him at any opportunity. I’m going for a 3-1 with Stewart getting back on the scoresheet. Great thread RTB

    Getting nervous about tomorrow already...

Win all our games from now till the end of the season (+ play-offs) and we are promoted.

Plymouth away looks tough... but Shrewsbury have nothing to lose so a potential banana skin.
