Was taking one of those panoramic pics at the beacon today and captured my dog bouncing around wanting a stick chucked.

Anyway, when I zoomed in, it looked like bad taxidermy

 

How does the steam get in the cart to pull it?

Two cars. One at the top is filled with water. The weight of it makes it travel to the bottom, whilst it pulls the one at the bottom up to the top

One cart stays empty of people when it is at the top. Twats waiting at the bottom have to spend ages waiting for the cart at the top to be refilled with water before they fly up the hill at 2mph

The first steam locomotive never had brakes, so much so when the local mayor celebrated in the middle of the track at a wonderful example of engineering, tons of metal just ploughed straight through him - moral of the story, check it has an independent braking system first.
