Maybe, but it's important that all NATO members put on a united front against Russia and in support of Ukraine. Now is not the time to be ****ing around with a change of PM/cabinet which would take weeks. Boris needs to go, but not right now. In my humble opinion of course.

I get the sentiment, but I think that overestimates his importance to the situation honestly, any other PM will just pick up where he has left off here, the difference will be domestic more than international. A bigger concern to the international situation would be the very real possibility of Le Pen deposing Macron in a couple of weeks time.
I was going to say much the same thing. The UK think we are important, but in the scheme of things it is the UK not Boris or the Conservative party supporting Ukraine. Whoever takes over (note I said takes as IMO it is inevitable) will carry on the mantra. France on the other hand is more of a worry. Agreed, a change of leadership in the UK will have exactly zero impact on world affairs because a) our foreign policy is most unlikely to change significantly, and b) we are not that important anyway. As for France, I'm confident Le Pen will not be President. But many French voters will have to hold their noses when voting for Macron. Expect a record low turnout and growing disaffection with politics across the channel. These are worrying times for democracy throughout the world, and not specifically because of Putin - for when has Russia not been subject to tyranny? People are losing faith in their elected leaders, as capitalism continues to exclude millions from enjoying it's benefits.

Which has a 0.00000001% chance of happening any time soon. Why on earth would the Tories call one now? The next one is not due until 2024 and 2 years is a long time in politics. And how could France cancel their election? Surely it has to happen, like we have to have an election in 2 years time. And in any case, I think this is all academic as I don't think enough Tories will turn against Boris now to force a no confidence vote.
You are correct, but I sense that you, like a lot of Tory supporters, will be hoping that Johnson’s misdeeds will have somehow been forgotten by the time of the next GE. You know as well as I do that the long list of his lies, deceit, and utter corruption will have grown even longer by then, and what state will our poor country be in by then? Anyone whose MP is a Tory should be writing to them demanding that enough is enough. We simply cannot have a convicted criminal as PM. As I said before, Britain is now guilty by association with this lying, cheating crook, and our standing as a nation has been irreparably damaged.
MP's should boycott PM Questions Time. It is an affront to the history of our Parliament to give BJ any credibility of standing at the Dispatch Box. As for Putin making political capital out of it - who the **** is listening to that murderous cold blooded war criminal?
Here's a link to a very long (sorry) but good article which is very instructive about how we have got to where we are over the last 10 years or so. Written about the USA but very relevant to the UK (and France) too. It talks about how the extremes of left and right have both become more entrenched in their positions and unwilling to even consider anything that involves compromise and community. I think that currently, the "devoted conservatives" have managed to grab a disproportionate share of the parliamentary Conservative party and they do not tolerate dissenting views from the more centre left leaning members (who are also scared of getting deselected). If we are to stand a chance of changing the authoritarian trajectory of UK politics, it's these people we need to support and re-energise because it's they who will decide whether Boris and his allies get a vote of no confidence and a challenge to the leadership. This is true in a fashion. The reason Boris hasn't gone is that none of the contenders want to take over at this time. If they were to oust Boris, the new PM would have more than two years of record to run on, in a fairly difficult moment in history. It's much more advantageous to knock him off closer to the election, when they can run on promises more than their tenure as PM.
