Time to put the panic pills away (well hopefully for at least two months) and the standby oxygen tent won't be needed everytime he is named in the starting eleven.
We've got rid of a player who was committed, but couldn't complete a simple pass to one of his own players and replaced him with a player who last season won Leicester's player of the season(a season in which they reached the play-off's). That's good business, even a parrot can see that.
On our OWS now aswell. Does anyone know if Hobbs can play fullback then? Because otherwise our only other choice at right back is Nobby, which always makes me uneasy. He's good going forward but far too slow going back for my liking. Good business yes i agree, but still leaves me a little concerned about cover.
Yes I agree. What a twat swapping Olifandango for our player of the season Gerrard, getting rid of ã20k+ a week players like Kilbane, McShiiite,Bullard, Kamikaze, Ashbee, Folan(hopefully) and replacing them with quality young hungry skilful players on very affordable wages. NP OUT!!!
Got to agree with other posts that this is leaving us short on the fullback front. We only have Solano as cover. Any rumours of a fullback coming in?
Chester can play full back(both sides), even Garcia can play right back(apparently he can play anywhere) and we have a 24 hour recall option on Cooper, who can play centre back and left back, we also have Sonny Bradley who's now been promoted to the first team squad. We are a bit light, but not disastrously light and losing poor players is no bad thing.
I've not seen Sonny play. Hows he looking in the reserves? Hope he makes the step up, always good to see our lads coming through
He's only 18, but he's been with us for 11 years now. He's a big lad, and has looked pretty good in the reserve games I've seen, though it's hard to judge him properly without seeing him in the first team. I doubt we'll use him yet, he's still very young, but he's an option if we're pushed.
