Starmer was investigated by Durham Police and was cleared of any breach of lockdown rules

Johnson made the law and then broke it. He is prime minister and he broke the law, not only personally but the house he is given by the people was used for many others to break it. Anyone who doesn’t think he should go now is a complete dick. I predict there will be at least three on here defending him.

It wouldnt surprise me if Johnson made himself stand out like a sore blonde arse in Ukraine in order to try and deflect his impending party fine away? 'Party fine? Nonsense! Look at brave old me in Ukraine!'

If he'd had a party at some country mansion out in the sticks he might have had a slim chance of keeping his job. The fact he's been caught in 10 Downing Street is a kick in the bollocks to us all, particularly painful to those who have lost close family and friends to Covid, especially for those who were prevented from visiting those who were ill whilst knowing they would not be with them in their final days.

No one can defend him mate.

All you'll get is that Corbyn is a communist and no MP is 100% honest.

Resigning is his last opportunity to go with any shred of dignity ...

... but he'll cling on to the death because he's morally bereft.

Iirc we changed PM at the start of WW2. Also France is in the middle of an election for a new President.

So the idea the tory MPs are saying is because of Russia invading Ukraine, we have to keep Bonko!???

I thought the main point is about defending democracy... a PM breaking the law.. defending democracy

Bonko has no shame, hiding behind a leader who when offered a flight out of his country replied "I don't need a ride i need a gun"

Its appalling, and for the likes of Fabricant to come out with the Ukrainian excuse is sickening.

The next general election needs to be no later than January 2025 - the only chance of the Tories being re-elected is if they ditch Boris and Rishi now and give their replacements 18 months to make a decent impression.

Their biggest problem may well be finding somebody who isn't also about to get fined though!!

The only chance of the Tories not being
re-elected is if Labour get off their arses and ditch the two waste of spaces at the top otherwise you can kiss another 5 years goodbye.

No point discussing whether Johnson will go or not. He won't resign, Labour haven't got enough oomph to shift him and the Tories know he's a vote winner.

Interesting what Sunak will do though. Ideal opportunity to bail out and come back later having 'served his time'.

It's not within the gift of any opposition party to shift the PM.

Only his own party can do that.

If they stand by then they're complicit imo.

Blair would have made it impossible for him to stay on.
