Thinking about it, a lot of great posters back then have departed.
    Lanlodger
    Tiger
MTG ( Lots of arguments with him but good poster)
    Rickster
    COYB or COYR
    List could go on

The Banksy I know, would never been put off by one poster. So no need to gloat or bring up that one.

Think at the time there was lots of changes going on. Going through Brexit and then limbo until Boris signed some sort of exit plan. Then we had the LJ in and out club.
It just seemed at the time everyone was bickering rather than bantering. I also considered leaving but then spoke to my kids for a bit and thought, nah I will go back to reading the arguments <laugh>

That's very good to know, and just for the record, neither have I "gloated" on here nor did I bring it up. <ok>

it is going to be one hell of concentrated fixture list, close to 6 games a month... will need a strong squad and hopefully fixtures will be sensible ... like away to middsbro home to cardiff away to blackpool home to swansea away to norwich etc

We’ll have a similar squad to now, we’ve no leeway wage wise, or ability to afford fees either.

We certainly will - if NP keeps on blocking our highest earning players leaving.

Who did he block leaving? Only one I was aware of was Palmer, and that was a loan, to a competitor. Oh and maybe HNM last summer, although unsure if that was true or just a rumour.

He didn't want Wells going to a Championship rival (Cardiff) - at a time when Wells wasn't even being played. Swansea were also interested in him apparently:
'Why would we help them?' Bristol City boss sends Cardiff City and Swansea City blunt Nahki Wells transfer message - Wales Online
(I stated Palmer by mistake in an earlier post - I knew it was one of those 2!!!)

In reality, another Championship side, League 1 or abroad are the only places they could realistically go. I can't see them playing in the Prem.

NP doesnt actually come over as a ball of fun does he....... from an aggressive negative attitude before his relapse .. to a happier more positive and less fidgety deliverer of his presentations he now seems to have gone into a third mode of monotone drawl at times and is chastising/ even threatening players along the lines of you are not going to play next time if you have a bad one ......... its as if he has failed and knows it, the last 20 mins were not what a manger should be doing? He should be out there "encouraging the team/ player to do something try something different .. not let them continue whilst he goes into a sulk?

We’re they loans though?, I can see we’d not want to loan him to a team that potentially are our rivals, selling is a different matter, get him off our books & free up wages etc for us to replace him, plus we didn’t have an abundance of attacking options

We have to somehow try and get some of the unwanted players off our books, and then be creative in bringing in players to replace them that will add value to the squad, and I don’t mean £ value, but value in terms of attributes our squad is missing.
