Going to the party isn't the issue for me.

Lying to Parliament means he has to resign.

I don't think that is being investigated, could be that no law was broken.

Irrespective of what anyone else, did or didn't do, the PM of this country broke the law and lied to Parliament.

That's the breaking news on every news channel.

What anyone else did, from whichever party, isn't the issue.

Unless it's now acceptable for the British PM to lie in Parliament.

He's always been a liar, now he's lied to the House.

I think Boris should go whether he will or not is another thing and I think Sunak now has the perfect opportunity to step down given what has happened lately.

Don’t normally comment on politics but
I do think that there will be politicians from all sides who have actually broken the lockdown rules and haven’t been caught however the big story will inevitably be the PM and the chancellor. As for other investigations who knows what will happen. Starmer is certainly not squeaky clean but at the minute isn’t under investigation.

Maybe that's because he's got **** all to do with the government and, rightly, nothing to do with running the country, so it's not even important, never mind very important :emoticon-0112-wonde

I think it's the fact that the PM made the law he broke and enforced it on all of us.

Starmer is just a member of an opposition party who has no power.

The PM lectured us endlessly on Covid then laughed at us behind our backs ...

... if he doesn't resign he's laughing in our faces.

Agree with what your saying about the Pm, and as you say at the moment Starmer has no power but may have very soon.

Politicians are a bit like lawyers , they are noted for speaking with 'forked tongues'.

Generally however both professions will try and at least pretend they are stand up guys and 'their word is their bond'.

Sunak may be more likely to resign, as he may think in doing so he can have another go further down the line. Or just fcuk off to India and live well

Bonko knows if he resigns it is over for him. Like Trump his fellow New Yorker ( and hero) he will lie and scheme to stay in office and brazen it out. Only if enough tory politicians decide he is a liability will they push him. A bit like the craven Republicans and Trump's big lie.
