I remember a tv show they made us watch in primary school called the boy from space. **** me right up.
Before tv became more generally affordable - at least in my patch - most folks got their fix from radio. I can vividly recall sitting in our front room in total darkness, apart from the glow of the fire, being terrified by programmes like Valentine Dyall and The Black Museum. Most kids that I knew also listened to Journey into Space which was probably the first introduction to space travel and it was such an addictive programme. Sundays would be dominated by Forces Favourites followed by various comedy shows such as The Clitheroe Kid.
Some good ones there, also The Avengers Hancock's half hour James Garner was in a good cowboy, cannot remember the name Bonanza Robin Hood William Tell Tommy Cooper mad but funny
The thin man! Remember him well. A lesson to kids everywhere to stay away from strangers in macs. These days they don't need to hang around schools so much with the advent of the internet.
