We've been saying for a long time that we need to shed our higher earners - Wells and Palmer are the main drain.
Wells actually plays, so at least he's in the shop window, but Palmer doesn't - apparently he's injured.

Just a thought; wouldn't the club be insured against players getting injured? If so that means that we won't be paying Palmers wages - and perhaps we could get someone to take Wells out in training?.... :emoticon-0130-devil

    2022 or 2021/22? 11,910,600
= 11,452,500 ..saving of 458,100. not to be sniffed at

Just checked actually the source and for 2 possibly 3 players the sums quoted are wrong... cant reveal source, but believe me they are out by by a few '000! so a certain amount of guess work being applied to that list! We almost know from 2020/21 accounts what is the annual cost... but in great detail, it doesnt show the breakdown. ...... a few crumbs for the fish..:emoticon-0140-rofl:

comment fits your lack of understanding? Quite often when we dont understand things we "think" what a lot of bullpoo! ... I know I do! .. but then I always investigate deeper to see whether truth in it /or it is a correct assumption/ etc etc :emoticon-0138-think :emoticon-0100-smile

this from same list as Wiz put up .. and not accurate ... it is likely guess work to make fit in with likely figures .... it is for 30 player in our squad. That is not accurate as Klose and Taylor Moore & RTowler NOT IN IT and Janneh is also as previously stated not accurate figures .. one or 2 might be close say 5% !

Here is another one 2020/21, (LJ's days) to view and give your forensic analysis too, their opening headline states' We have tried our best to source data from as many reliable sources as possible.', oh just to remind you no one on here has claimed accuracy, they are just printed articles given for interested parties to view, they also help me keep the discussions and interest moving for our members convenience.

That’s Dean Holdens squad, he signed Alfie Mawson (32k :emoticon-0104-surpr), Chris Martin, Chris Brunt etc.
Nahki Wells money has gone up from then, this one states £15,250 to £27k according to the other one. Wish I had his inflation <laugh>
Think you’ve opened the floodgates on this one mate.

Getting rid of Wells and his wages should be the number 1 priority.
It's a grim reality all round for the club at the moment with the poor results and performances on the pitch, a serious lack of care and attention from the very top over the years, and Nige stuck in the middle of it.
I seriously won't blame him if he decides he's had a gut full.
A return to L1 beckons at the end of next season at this rate, more so if we get a points deduction.

Nige will either see it through and we see light at the end of the tunnel-or he will walk and i only see us going downwards in who ever comes in.

Could this be a tactic of us lowering our expectations to try and blindside the competition, I can't believe we are just going to drift through the transfer period very quietly, the odd signing and sale, risk losing our manager who has spent his entire 15 months with our club coping with the financial and internal policy mess we are in, left by his predecessors, struggling with Covid, financial restraints, injuries, out of contract players, filling gaps with inexperienced academy youngsters.

I agree our position is well below fans expectations, the quality we are being served up is tepid, weak and that is down to the manager, Nige is a straight talker, he has stated factually about our clubs " bonkers strategy" and we are a "strange club", have we heard a murmer from our owner, chairman or CEO of late, a faint whisper of some funding prior to the winter break which ended in one FOC, short term signing, not one senior has mentioned strategy, planning, no all we have been told "You have to sell to buy", "it's going to be a quiet window", "not much activity forseen", it looks as though the suits have given up leadership, have accepted lower standards and are getting ready for allowing us to become " Relegation fodder".

Frankly I don't blame Nige if he walks and as I have mentioned before it's back to deja vu if he does, other clubs are doing well, we continue to struggle, it's pathetic.

The one thing that we are missing is you’re allowed to lose 39 million over a three year rolling period. Was the biggest loss in year 1 of those 3 years meaning we’ve got x amount to spend but staying inside the 39 million, as that year won’t be counted? Surely year one was the Covid year by now or was that year 2?
