It just shows how fine margins can make a difference to the outcome of a game. Also we have referees not falling for every touch when the opposition players fall down. They are still letting the teams get away with things but not to the extent they have done all season and those decisions also had a big impact on the results. I used to think our players got demoralised by the constant penalising and free kicks awarded to the opposition.
Absolutely. I heard a hilarious comment by Beren Cross involving Dan James' flailing arm making minimal contact on an opposition player who went down like he'd been chinned by Josh Warrington, but the referee wasn't impressed!!!!
Definitely made a change. I've seen so many games where we were penalised for the slightest touch constantly yet other teams could fall down at the drop of a hat and win a free kick. Those decisions have had an impact on how we played in the end.
Agree and those decisions when they constantly go against you in a game can have an even bigger impact on the result of the game. I'm sure if I started reading back some of my blogs from this season I could make some sort of comparison but at this moment in time, that's the last thing I want to do.
