Yes, people seem to forget we had only lost once at home all season until the Newcastle game.

Bad runs that seem to never end, except for when they end. Those ones. Like Brighton do. And all clubs do.

Much like losing once in two months, and then losing a few on the trot.

Nobody thinks this run is ‘good’, by the way. We’re just not European contenders when we’re good, much as we’re not the worst team ever when we’re bad.

Brighton are directly comparable to us. Until yesterday, they haven’t been able to buy a win this year. But nobody thinks Potter is doing anything but a great job there.

We get headline grabbing daft results like yesterday, sure. But we really do overreact on here too.

Yep. Credit to the players and Ralph. I guess the crux of this is, without never ending circles, is I believe Ralph can do better, but something stops him. I get the players, other teams etc. but i think there is something in Ralph that is too stubborn perhaps, just something that stops him. There is a good book i read once called “Good to Great”, and Ralph i fear is his own worse enemy. Lovely gent i may add, and I really want him to succeed here, i just dont think he will ever over achieve. Maybe that is the difference Laces, I think he is performing average, perhaps others dont.

Btw - a quick off topic Q - I always listened to Radiohead, and was in a store last week, and Creep is a rip off of an old song, and cant for the life of me think what it was. Can you help?? Double btw - listening to Agnes Obel lately - you know her stuff? Im mesmerised.

Yeah, and sometime Ralphs seem to start late 2 seasons. At least that’s how they feel.

Thing is every time we go on a bad run, there are calls for Ralph's head. If a team like us that will probably lose as many as we win in a season did this every time, we would be the new Watford with 3 managers a season.

Actually, just looked there are 8 teams that have lost more than us and another 3 that have lost the same amount. So that is 11/20 are the same or worse than us.

When we lose we are spectacular I admit, but changing the manager...be careful what you wish for.

Arrived in Spain to find my internet hadn’t been restarted, cursed the provider because I missed the game then turned on the tv and saw we were 0-6 down and decided I was lucky.
Until this morning when my fecking car wouldn’t start. Cursed.

Im not sure so many are actually asking to change manager No 7. Im not actually wanting this, just recognising things aren’t as rosy as some would believe. Take the ~Ralph In thread, i recall so many posters calling out where are the Ralph outers now - was totally cringeworthy and embarrassing.

Ive not asked him to go, i said I’m looking forward to summer recruitment and hope Ralph makes a good start, as if he doesnt id imagine or be asking for change at that point.

A few games ago I would agree, but this is a bad run rather than inconsistency.

I suppose it depends on how you view inconsistency. Winning most games the first half of the season then losing every game in the second half could be considered inconsistent by some.

Re Creep, was “The Air that I Breathe” which sound so spookily similar.

Also, dont know why but ive also been listening to Bully. She did a cover of About a Girl which is my fav non Nirvana version, and made me realise what the song was about.

Oh, better stop as I’m off topic, soz Chilco!

Enjoy Agnes if you get time…

If the trap involved sending holiday brochures to half our team the week before the game, then maybe.
