The only good thing about that half is I don’t think we can play any worse. We suffered the same problem in the first half at home but came out in the second half and was twice in the lead.

That was so bad it was hard to watch.

    Lucky it's only 2-1

    Absolutely terrible all over.

Mane needs to come off for diaz.

I would say take Salah off but have no one else can go over there. Jota isn’t effective.

Just need to be braver playing into midfield. Doesn’t help Fabinho is looking awful though.

Positive, it’s only 1 and we’ve got through them a couple of times. Just need to go back to basics, get ball behind them and get them in the turn and play out for throws and work it from there. Might not be sexy but it’s been best bet at getting at them so far.

You could say that for Salah and Jota too. Least Mane (and Salah) have helped out defensively.

Only options are Diaz, Jones and keita.

Midfield can't do one thing nor the other
Have to bypass it and get city turned. Cannot keep dicking about with no runners until the lose it and let another in.

Have to force their fullbacks to turn and be worried.

Jota scored, firmino ain't quick enough for this.

    Salah has no replacement

Mane hasn't done one thing bar giveit away.

It's not like henderson or thaigo are any good either but I wouldn't let naby near this lot

Credit where it's due... I think it's evident we're playing a much better team than other weeks. They're pressing us like no other team does, it's killing our backline and midfield leaving the forwards with nothing to play with.

Jota was in the right place at the right time (his thing) but didn't do anything special or impressive. He ****ed up two attacks.

Goal was poor keeping rather than good finish too

If we maintain this standard in the 2nd half we will lose 4-1 and Robertson will be sent off.

If only TAA had some way of knowing where City players where on the pitch, like a pair of eyes, or something similar. Our midfield has been non existent. Salah playing as he has for the past 5 or 6 games, crap, Mane's first touch has been very poor and Fabs seems to have forgotten how to tackle. Losing is one thing, but losing because you can't tackle, mark, or sting a few passes together is not acceptable. After all we are not Utd!

Can our defence and in particular our keeper stop knobbing around with the ball . need more speed in both passing and movement better decision making throughout the team .

2-2 would be a miracle i'd take right now.

Like the loaves and fishes tbh.

You could make the score up at this point anything from 3 to 5-1

Salah he been bad for a month or two and we've been poor lately too.

Just don't look at the races at all again and this time it's a better team

Tbf Jota playing centrally so isn’t going to be doing load of defensive work tracking full backs.

Wouldn’t say mane or Salah done lots defensively? Was moment when Ederson had the ball for about 20 seconds before pinged a 50 yard pass out wide to Walker who had acres of space on half way line with mane no where near.

No he hit it so badly it went under keeper but still scored.

That second had to go or get pen. Poor.

But in reality he can run and Bobby just can't. Not at the pace of this.

Alisson must have cold feet again <whistle>

Ill say it again. This talk of him being good with ball at his feet is a bit of a myth. Atleast once or twice a game he’ll get it stuck under his feet or he’ll chip it to opposition and suddenly back under pressure.

The roll out to TAA from the corner when rest of team were walking out and city had about 4 players behind the ball still was criminal. Gave taa no where to go with it, and he was in LB slot so had to cut back inside!

Said that for ages, he's not good with his feet at all. Screams very good keeper that's had to work very hard to be able to kick a ball to me
