Thought I would start a Match Day thread, as time is running out. If this is not needed, please ignore.
LAWRO'S PREDICTION Norwich v Burnley (14:00) Burnley got a great win over Everton on Wednesday and I just think they will carry that into the weekend, and get another big result off the back of that one. The points were the main thing for the Clarets against Everton, but what impressed me about their performance was the way they kept going, even at 2-1 down. They are still in trouble, but the key thing is they have been in this situation before. So have Norwich, but they have left themselves too much to do to get out of the bottom three from here. Lawro's prediction: 0-2
I'm reading that Pukki may be out ill, possibly with Covid. I can't wait for this awful season to end.
It genuinely does feel like we have relentlessly bad luck at the moment. Covid has absolutely ruined our last two Premier League seasons
I'm afraid that even though I have always followed the Canaries in hope rather than expectation, I threw the towel in a month ago. They aren't as short of the mark this season, but a combination of injuries/illness on a limited squad and multiple bad decisions against us have nullified any extra chance that we had. I'm just looking forward to Championship football again. I like us being in that league. It's just sad that the gulf in finances etc mean that the reward for doing well in the Championship is a season circling the plughole again.
Afaiac reaching the play off final then letting the opponents walk the ball into the net in injury time would be my ideal season.
I like this idea - have a few successful seasons before going up when we are actually ready. Going up when we aren't only serves to raise expectation to unrealistic levels and leads to a lot of bad feeling between supporters and players.
Michael Oliver has been appointed to take charge of Sunday's game, Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett his assistants and Andy Madley the fourth official. John Brooks and Nick Hopton are on VAR duties. The Golden Boy comes to Carrow Rd. We are honoured indeed
